Great place to relax and use as a base to explore Dubrovnik and surrounding area.
Pros:

Great location with lots of lovely / quiet rocky / pebble beaches nearby
Good choice of pools in hotel
Only 20 mins on the bus into town, buses cheap / frequent / easy
Very good buffet breakfast
Staff nice / friendly
Hotel clean / comfy

Cons:

The only thing we did not love was the evening buffet restaurant
There is a good choice of lovely restaurants nearby so not an issue but the one time we decided to eat at the buffet in the evening we did not love it.

Disappointed.

Disappointing, especially considering the price we paid.

I deliberately booked and paid considerably more for a superior, larger room which also included access to the spa. However, when we arrived, we were given a much smaller room at the side of the hotel — a room which had also been available when I made the reservation, but at a significantly lower rate.

I showed reception that I had specifically booked and paid for the superior room. Unfortunately, the reception staff, who had been rather dismissive from the beginning, simply told me that the hotel was full and that this was the room available.

As I was on holiday with my family, I ultimately decided that, despite being entirely within my rights to insist on what I had already paid for, I did not want the situation to spoil our holiday. Incredibly, I was then asked at reception to pay an additional amount to change rooms — essentially paying again for the category of room I had already booked and paid for in the first place. I paid it simply to resolve the situation.

The whole experience was extremely frustrating, and the attitude of the reception staff only made matters worse. A hotel should take responsibility for providing the room category a guest has booked and paid for, rather than expecting the guest to pay twice because of an internal issue.

On a positive note, the valet staff were wonderful — extremely friendly, helpful and attentive — as was Windy, the waitress at breakfast. They were by far the most welcoming members of staff we encountered.

A practical note: if you intend to use the spa during high season, I strongly recommend booking your treatments well in advance. The hotel’s natural setting by the sea is beautiful and excellent if you simply want to jump into the water and swim. However, access to the sea may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility or for families with very young children. There are swimming pools available as an alternative.

Cons:

Unfortunately, despite the lovely setting, the hotel’s handling of our reservation, its policies and, particularly, the service at reception left us extremely disappointed. The room initially provided was smaller and considerably more basic than the one we had booked and paid for, and I do not consider the way the situation was handled acceptable.

Un séjour inoubliable
Pros:

Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassés dans l’hôtel 5 étoiles d’à côté ( qui fait partie d’un complexe de 5 hôtels ) la chambre était luxueuse! Les piscines n’étaient pas bondées bien au contraire ! La « promenade » qui mène jusqu’aux restaurants et aux commerces du quartier est magnifique! Le petit déjeuner est très bon et quelle vue!! On en prend plein les yeux dans tous les coins de l hôtel! Le coup de cœur : la piscine à débordement du rooftop adult only!

Cons:

Le personnel des restaurants ne parlait pas bien anglais … il était parfois difficile de se faire comprendre !

Anbefales på det sterkeste.
Pros:

Reint og fint på rom som var fantastisk.
Solsenger hørte til hotellet og det var badehandkle ved bassengene og ved sjø .
Frukost var fantastisk god og stort utvalg , fekk laget egg , omelett.
Personalet var hjelpsomme og smilende .
Det var ein fin pomonade og gå på inn til Lapad sentrum .og buss inn til Dubrdaunik gamlebyen og ellers nære hotellet .

Kahvaltısı şimdiye kadar yediklerimin en iyisi diyebilirim. çeşit ve saatleri oldukça yeterliydi. Personel güleryüzlü ve yardımsever. Tesisin temizliği ve kendinize vakit geçirecek alan bulmanız çok kolay. Royal hotelleri aslında bir kompleks. Bütün otellerin imkanlarından yararlanabiliyorsunuz. Civarda grill house, pizzeria gibi seçenekler de var. Ayrıca old town ya ta Gruz gibi merkezlere gidebilmek çok kolay. Lokasyonu dolayısıyla uygulamalar üzerinden kabaca 10 euro civarına araç buluyorsunuz.

Cons:

Eğer plaj insanıysanız oteli sevmeyebilirsiniz. Kayalık ve güzel denizine erişim bir iki merdivenden oluyor. Güneşlenme alanı yeterli ama denize girip çıkabilmek için iki merdivene sınırlısınız. Bizim olumsuz etkilemedi ama plaj ve kumsal hayaliniz varsa boşa ümitlenmeyin.
