The location was great. The facility, the property gave the illusion of being a resort outside the city. It was quiet. The common areas were spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was great and removed the inconvenience of having to look for someplace else to eat. I even stayed an extra day.
I did not have anything I could complain about. The only discomfort I experienced was something that was out of managements control. The smoke from the Canadian fires.
Unfortunately, this did not feel like the Hilton Garden Inn experience I expected. The hotel felt dark, dated and almost deserted, with only one staff member visible during our stay. Our room did not feel clean or well cared for and there was hair on the towels.
What made it more disappointing is that Hilton Garden Inn is supposed to be above Hampton within the Hilton brand, yet this property felt considerably less clean, welcoming and cared for than Hampton Inns we have stayed in even in very small towns. And we are currently in a Hampton tonight that is spotless.
This property felt neglected and well below the Hilton standard and I would not stay here again.
The food was very good.
Staff was very nice
Toilet got backed up and the entire went out on day of departure around 8 and family had to take bags down from third floor. I was handicapped and was not able to come down until the elevator came on I know for at least an hour
Beautiful and quiet for the recovery I was needing.
The people that work here are very nice. And the view is quite comforting.
Overall, it was a great experience
We went down for breakfast on Saturday May 30, 2026 and there were 10 tables with guests. Amanda, the waitress was by herself for most of the time and she did a wonderful job taking orders and getting the food out. Eventually some else came to help her but she was amazing while handling all those tables by herself. The food was excellent, too.
Charged $75 to check in an hour early. I was here for a wedding and needed to freshen up and change after a three hour drive. I decided to change in the ladies room. What a way to treat a Hilton honors member, especially when the room was ready!
The view from our room was beautiful!
The bathroom could have been cleaned better.
Shaun and Katelyn were great! They provided excellent service. Great drinks and food. Best place to stay in Charlottesville by far
Chef Shaun and Antonio were great additions to your staff. They never leaving you wanting and express the brand to the upmost.
Chef Shaun and Antonio has been amazing throughout the entire stay. We will definitely come back for their amazing hospitality!
