I enjoyed everything. Staff was amazing but for one.
I travelled from NZ,to Australia, Brisbane, Melbourne and then Doha and finally to Heathrow, 6hr bus ride to Plymouth, checked in on Tuesday night and got into bed at 2am Wednesday morning. Reason for my visit, my good mate Oliver Fenton from Plymouth, whom we worked together on Cruiseships, met an Aussie sheila, asked me to be his best man for his wedding. I said absolutely.Bought myself a suit for his wedding.Well got a call from his sister saying Ollie had suddenly died due to cancer.
So the suit I bought for his wedding became the suit I wore to his funeral.
Early the next morning after breakfast, I went to reception. I asked the skinny sour bloke, the world owes me a favour, who didn't really wanna be there. I work on Cruiseships been to over 70 different countries, and our guests are treated with the utmost respect. We go the extra mile for our guest. Because without our guest, our cruieships are just a huge chunk of steel.
So I asked the sour skinny bloke if he could spare me a neck tie as I have forgotten my one back at home. Not only that it was also a brightly coloured tie, not appropriate for Ollies Funeral. The bloke say no can't do.
Our ties have our hotel logo on it. So we can't give away or loan it. I said bro, on the flight here there were blokes wearing Man U jerseys and Spurs jersey. Had the football club logo. I'm just asking for a tie because I don't wanna get up at 1630 or 1730 taxi into city centre and buy a tie.
He then got annoyed. Look mate we can't just give out our ties.
OK, sell one to me then. It will be good advert for the Hotel.
Future inn comes to the rescue of a bloke who'd flown all the way from NZ,wearing suit he bought for best mates wedding, now farewelling him at his funeral.
But oh no. I had to get up at 1700,get a taxi and go into the city.
The bloke at S&M, Benny was awesome. Treated me so kindly that I invited him for dinner. So I bought 10 neck ties from Benny.
Tres bien
Perfect location
The duvet covers in our twin room appeared as if they had already been used although the bed sheets were obviously clean and ironed.
Location
Air conditioning wasn't working, reported it to reception after the first night and was toldnitnwoild be fixed. Still not working on the second night with no explanation, apology or offer to move room.
Location, cleanliness, staff, room.
The beds were awful,- felt like trampolines.
There was a fire drill but not made clear it was only for staff!!
Cost of breakfast too high- poor quality— cancelled breakfast after first day -ate in cafe over the road!
Background humming noise in the room, more noticeable at night— ?? Due to large air vents outside the window
Nice modern hotel. Comfortable beds. Nice restaurant.
Very spacious room, location was good, comfortable stay.
Only thing there were stains on the carpet (looked like bleach) and curtains were old, in the morning they let the light in and could see rips in the blackout backing. Just minor dislikes, our stay was great
