It said waterfront room but there was a car park in the way ...
The car park
Booked on the spur of the moment for the next night and we weren’t disappointed. Had a lovely room overlooking the estuary on the ground floor. Sat on the terrace for drinks which was very chilled. Had a meal in the restaurant Ebb and Flow which was excellent.
Had an hour in the spa which was very relaxing and spotless. We will return.
We stayed overnight in a Deluxe ground floor room with patio doors opening out to views of Conwy Castle. I felt like I was truly on holiday! We were blessed with lovely weather and it was so good to sit outside our room in the evening looking over at the castle - it was so relaxing and made our stay very special. Rooms were exceptionally clean, staff were so helpful. We ate in the Ebb and Flow Restaurant and really enjoyed the food. We will definitely return.
Our first stay at the Quay Hotel and we will definitely return. Stunning location with views of the Conwy estuary. The hotel is attractively furnished, staff are friendly and efficient. Bar and restaurant are both excellent and well organised.
The location and space in the hotel.
The view.
On one of our stays we chose the junior suite.
It didn’t live up to expectations of a suite nor did the facilities. Small room badly designed and cramped huge television too oh for the room
The location and the views from the outdoor seating area
The price I paid for the room and it weren’t worth the money. Then when you buy a pint and a glass of wine and it comes to £20 nearly fell over
Fantastic spa.
Such friendly professional staff in spa reception, spa cafe, therapists. Etc
Treatments amazing, cafe pleasant.
Pool clean, nice temperature, great sauna, steam room and even have foot spas!! Missing a hot jacuzzi but hydro pool is equally pleasant maybe could be a touch warmer than the pool would make a slightly better experience.
Overall a 10/10 experience, 😊.
Deffo worth it. very relaxing & plesant.
Great location
Expensive for what it is, rooms dated and not really comfortable, poor quality pillows and bedding, mattress in need of replacement. Staff friendly and rooms were clean. Breakfast good.
Good spa and pool facilities was very nice and plenty of parking available

I have given the quay 3 stars due to few issues i booked the superior room on a monday night at cost of £250 as i like a room where i can open the balcony door however we were on the ground floor near the road so couldent leave the door open at night making the room to hot for me i tried the fan but that was to noisy so my nights sleep wasnt a good one the spa side was ok but you cant use it between 9am and 5 pm unless you pay extra then its free after that the staff were excellent and food was good just for me the room was a disapoinment for a four star hotel but had it been a different room my review might of been different but i have stayed in various hotels and this is the first one i wouldent rush back to stay in again
Nice stay in a good location. Rooms were spacious.
Staff warm and welcoming.
Mostly positive reviews.
The only negatives we have is the drinks/bar service. It was table service during the day and this was slow and also took some time for the drinks to arrive when the order was finally placed.
We ate at the Ebb and Flow restaurant in the evening. Food was nice although it took me a while to consider what I wanted to eat. The options didn’t jump out at me, but what I didn’t finally opt for was lovely.
Again the drinks service was slow.
Our meals had arrived and we had started to eat before our drinks/wine order had arrived. Usually have started drinks before orders are taken.
We also ordered coffee at the end of the meal but again by the time it had been delivered to the table we had paid the bill, was sat waiting, we had to chase this as we had been sat so long we was ready to go to the room so it ended up being a wasted order.
Serving staff were all polite and they brought my partner a dessert out for his birthday which was a lovely touch.
We would have liked to use the spa facilities and had intended to. But the times we could do were at a cost which wasn’t a major issue we would have paid but we decided to venture out with the nice weather.
We are used to these facilities being included when we book regular stays/weekends away.
The hotel did offer time slots in which they were free to us however the morning slot meant we would have had to rise crack of dawn to go before our breakfast slot as this had to be prebooked. We are usually early risers but given it’s a relaxing weekend away it’s nice to not have to set an alarm for 6-7am.
By the time our breakfast slot was finished, the inclusive spa time slot had passed.
There is an evening slot also inclusive but we were booked in at the restaurant at 7:30pm so had to be in the room to get ready meaning we only really had the option to pay to use the facilities.
I would recommend the hotel but personally I would more than likely look for a hotel with spa facilities are included in the stay or inclusive times available are a little more convenient.
Dated rooms, very expensive for what it is although great location and friendly staff, rooms clean and tidy but for price paid not near standard expected, no air con, large noisy fan provided instead
Lovely ambience, staff was also very nice particularly Hannah who went out of her way to ensure my daughters shoe was mailed to our home when we forgot it.
The spa and wellness amenities are also very good.
Everything as always
