Excellent hotel in excellent area with fab staff.awl definitely stay there again
Increased the cost of the stay by £180 on the day of the booking when I’d had the room booked for months. Was only notified by email from booking.com no contact from the hotel. Left with no other option when travelling to Manchester, awful customer service and would not recommend.
Style, calm atmosphere
Nothing
No breakfast, despite initial booking saying it was included. Told at check in it wasn’t available but takeaway would be provided - it wasn’t. (Both mornings!!).

Lovely hotel in a listed 19th-century building, which is located a couple of minutes from the railway station and close to the centre of the city. The room was clean, nicely decorated and spacious, with a comfortable bed and no noticeable noise from the busy street below. The bathroom was clean, contemporary and had a powerful shower. Staff here are friendly and helpful. All good! Would definitely stay again.
We couldn't open the window because the handle had broken off and had been replaced by a teaspoon!

Déçue par la chambre qui devrait être rénovée. Le chauffage ne fonctionne pas (mais merci au personnel d'avoir proposé une solution). C'était vieillot et surtout, la brasserie et le petit-déjeuner étaient fermés pour travaux, sans que l'on n'ait été averti sur le site et sans réduction de prix sur Booking. Pas de restauration donc, pas de lounge, pas de petit-déjeuner pour un prix trop élevé.
Loved everything about the hotel. Only draw back was no actual parking and if you dont know Manchester well it makes life harder. However there are car parks around. If to take the left turn directly after the hotel and go straight up you'll see a good car park.
Room was fine
Completely catfished with the brasserie being shut so no breakfast, no communal areas, entrance not the main entrance and appeared very sketchy. Sign saying the restaurant was shut for refurbishment that itself looked about a year old. Room was fine but significantly worse than the photos
The room and bed was amazing! Lovely staff and 1minute walk to a car park!
Restaurant was closed for refurb so 'breakfast on the go' was given, it wasnt the best. Water pipes really loud allll night too.
The bed was huge and very comfortable, in a big room with various seating areas.
The decor felt very cold and unwelcoming. We couldn’t open the curtains! And the shower was a poor design - the controls were too far away from the shower head and the screen wasn’t wide enough to keep the water in.
