Olha gave us the best welcome with an ice cream 🤩
The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything you could need. The reception team were extremely friendly and helpful as were the restraint staff at breakfast. The kids toy for our child was a lovely touch.
Heleane at reception was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Very professional manner.
We arrived early at the hotel having travelling from a wedding the previous day. On arrival, the check in staff were great, very friendly, and for us, fortunately our room was available. We'd paid for an upgraded room which was available and came with an amazing view of The Shard.
Location wise, we can't fault it. Very close the London Bridge Train Station. Attraction wise, on the South Bank of the Thames, close to HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge.
Our only complaint was the air con in the room wasn't working properly. We did discuss this with the hotel, and they had maintenance look at it and leave a note saying it was sorted, but whatever they'd done, we didn't notice any difference.
Breakfast was great, a buffet style breakfast. There was a lot of staff hovering and this could be off putting to some.
Would we return, yes, hopefully with working air con.
The breakfast and restaurant were very good overall. Same goes for the staff both in the hotel and restaurant - friendly and accommodating. The location is very convenient, it's well connected with both train and subway station nearby.
The room definitely needs to be renovated. But the main problem was the bathroom and its cleanliness.
1. When we arrived, first we noticed that some tissues in the available tissue box were just shoved in there, hence they were either somewhere else beforehand, or were overlooked from the previous guest.
2. All throughout our stay the bathroom/tub faucet was at different times dripping. It was like that when we arrived, so safe to say it was a known issue, just not enough time to fix I guess.
3. The towels were probably very old (or that's what causes it in my experience), as there were different rusty dots and stains on them. Or at least I hope so.
Great location close to underground and train& bus service. Attentive staff, clean comfortable room. Good breakfast but has no variation. Nice place for evening walks after the day is done.
Great location for everything we planned to do in London - exceeded our expectations. The staff were really lovely and always on hand to make our stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible.
The check-in process was a little bit long. The ‘air con’ wasn’t put on ready for our arrival so it took some time for our room to cool down.
