The bed was great and the room was too!
Pros:

The one room suite was huge! Beautiful rear view of a field.

Cons:

The rear parking lot has lights and it causes too much light into the room, even though the room darkening shades were closed.

Spacious, Quiet, and Welcoming—A Great Value Stay
Pros:

The hotel is very well located and has a genuinely family‑friendly atmosphere. Everything feels calm—no noise at all—and the common areas are clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious, and the parking lot has plenty of space, which makes the stay even more comfortable. Overall, it offers great value for the money.

The gardens are well kept, and the entire property feels orderly and welcoming. Service throughout the hotel is fantastic. Employees are respectful, friendly in a positive and professional way, knowledgeable, and always well presented.

Breakfast is good, though I believe it could benefit from more daily variation, especially for guests staying several days—perhaps different egg preparations, potato options, or a few additional sweets.

In general, it was an excellent stay, and I would happily return.

It served it's pourpose.
Pros:

Employees were great but the rooms need a total reno, like now, and no microwave what hotel does not have a microwave, well this one does not.

Pros:

Very clean and comfortable. Friendly and responsive staff.

Cons:

Always a great stay! Not competitively priced with local hotels if same quality. My son loves it so we stay there for our yearly visit.

Extremely overpriced for what it was(maybe due to World Cup)
Pros:

The lobby and overall size of the rooms

Cons:

The pull out sofa had dirty or old sheets on it, and it was tough getting pillows when they were fully booked (we had three pillows for four people, they did find a fourth though)

Pros:

We checked into a dirty room. We told called the front desk. They denied our experience. We invited them to our room to witness for themselves. There was still verbal pushback. We were told the houseman would clean the room while we went to dinner. We came back to sheets waiting for us to change our beds ourselves. None of us slept that night because it was just icky. They did change the bedding the next day.

Filthy room with someone else’s clothes and food
Pros:

Edit: added their “response” at the bottom. My warning still stands: these people will put you in what looks like a drug den and if you use the soap to wash the filth of their disgusting hotel room off your hands, they will force you to escalate the matter.

Original review: Everything in these photos was here when we arrived. The room was not only not cleaned but appears to be presently lived in by someone who just wasn’t here when they let us book the room online. Asked for a refund but was told morning manager is only one who can approve it, so I asked night manager to call him. He said it’s late and he has work in the morning. I said so do I. He said there would not be time to have room cleaned by housekeeping before letting someone else get the room. I said it wasn’t cleaned anyway, likely for weeks. This place is a dump and likely a flophouse for drunks and drug addicts. Stay as far away as you can.

I want to take this opportunity to apologize for your experience at the Hyatt Place Milford/New Haven on June 23, 2026. At the Hyatt Place, we strive to ensure that all our guests are welcomed to a clean and safe environment and we are saddened that was not the case during your stay.

Our housekeeping team generally does a good job cleaning the rooms, but I assure you, our management team will do a thorough investigation on this matter to avoid any repeat as we take these cases very seriously.

We would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention but also must advise that you did occupy that room for over an hour and items such as soap, towels and the beds were used. Please see attached photos.

During your stay, a room change and additional compensation were offered in an effort to address the issue at the time, which were declined. As the room was occupied and used, we are unable to approve a full refund.

If you would like to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to reach out. We do value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

Positive hotel experience
Pros:

Nice overall experience. Friendly and responsive staff. Large clean suites. Needs a little bit of maintenance. Hotel room door did not lock. However, overall experience was positive. Very convenient location to New Haven
