Some of the wait staff were cool or indifferent. Others nice. Generally reception personnel differed. Some were nice, others indifferent. Hermes worked really hard to help with directions and recommendations. Do recommend the Saturday Sunday buffet. Regardless of your reception, highly recommend a stay here. Stayed in the Colonial Imperial room. 623 year old part of the hotel. Given the incredible history of the building and surrounding Zona Colonial neighborhood, I thought it was worth the stay. Slept great. Both bed and pillows were good quality. Loved the exclusive treats served daily that are included with Colonial Imperial rooms.

Cons:

Staff could be friendlier and smile more often. Hermes stood out as did the tall gentleman who helped me with the safety box as well as the woman who stocks the Colonial Imperial lounge. JMO

Breakfast is basic repetitive or monotonous. The manager needs to refund my payment of $1000, because I had already paid

The rooms and facilities are fairly basic compared to what you pay. It's overpriced. The Hotel also refused to acknowledge the booking I made on booking.com and made me pay at the counter for double the price. I am still waiting for the booking.com refund.

Cons:

Nice colonial historic feel but over priced as facilities are extremely basic.

Location is excellent.
