Front of house staff when asked a few questions after were a bit short and quite abrupt and could have been a little less hostile when I was trying to clarify a point.

The distance to my room was in a different postcode to the hotel reception room 206 was somewhat dated but comfy
Location is easy to find, good customer service, room is clean, spacious and bed is very comfortable. Facilities in the room are in good working condition,.
It was my first time in the hotel. I didn’t like that I struggled to find my room upstairs (209). Description not so clear and I felt like walking in a maze.
Great distance from the trams so was very easy access into the city centre, never used public transport in Birmingham but the fella at the desk gave us a perfect guide on where to access the trams etc. Beautiful building and so was the room, very spacious and our view was gorgeous
The bed was comfortable. The double sinks were a good idea. Plenty of plug sockets. Kitchenette good but needs a sink/taps to wash cups & fill kettle. Settee good idea & dining table.
The television in bedroom wouldn't work on our final day. And the dressing table Stool was broken, by previous guests.

Excellent, friendly service at the bar and the food was fine.
Cleanliness overall in corridors wasn't great and in the bedroom it was poor, very dusty in the wardrobe area and clearly not checked / cleaned for a long time - to the extent that there was a womens 'bra insert' sitting on the shelf covered in dust...

If your staying in the more expensive room’s in the main part of the hotel it’s great but really seen a difference Staying in cheaper room .
