We enjoyed Cochrane and it was a good start to our Alberta road trip

Great hotel and very reasonable price wise

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. I appreciated their help when looking into transportation options.

Cons:

My room was right above the lobby, so anytime the automatic doors opened in the lobby I can hear it and it did impact my sleep, lots of people leaving early in the morning.

I don't think I've ever written a review on Booking, but we had a great time staying here and wanted to let others know!

The front desk and breakfast room staff were so friendly and helpful. I recall one lady was called Celine and there was a very friendly guy working most afternoons.

Our 2 Queen room was a good size, it was well cleaned, it had a clear view of the parking lot, and the TV conveniently has Netflix and YouTube (rather than just cable). The rooms on the other side would have a lovely view of the park.

There are lots of great walking paths alongside the river (which we frequented most days) and there is a nice stretch of grass which is dog park, giving the area a wholesome feeling.

Their breakfast is one of few hotels that offers a hot breakfast alongside the continental breakfast. They put on a nice selection! There's also a hot drink station available all day (plus noodle boxes) which you rarely see in other hotels - that's a very nice touch.

The area has several choices for places to eat when you are on the go (all within quick walking distance): Tim's, Dairy Queen, Subway, A&W. The Shire Pub is a fun little spot for a drink and they host events such as Music Bingo. Before this intersection, there is a Boston Pizza, a 7-Eleven and Esso gas station. Very convenient!

We would definitely stay here again!
