It was our 45th wedding anniversary and we had come there in 2025 and truly enjoyed EVERYTHING for the first time

Pool area is great & deck area is fabulous but the hotel is older & it shows.
Pros:

Excellent location! Staff very friendly!

Cons:

Walls are paper thin. We heard every noise the people beside us made. Parking fee says $15 but the desk receptionist said I paid $17.95 per day plus a resort fee. I find that excessive.

The hotel was not your typical cookie cutter chain hotel, I loved it and will be back!
Pros:

The location was great. Highly recommend the upgrade to an inlet view. The view was incredible to watch the daily parade of fishing boats come in and out of the inlet and nature. No obstructions of the views. Great private beach to swim in the inlet. Free breakfast was substantial. The staff was incredibly friendly. I felt very safe as a solo traveler.

Cons:

The property shows some wear. If you are looking for ultra modern hotel, this is not it. But it started out as a naval hospital in the world war with great history behind it. So it’s all part of the charm. The walls are paper thin so if you have loud neighbors, you’ll hear them. Weekdays are peaceful but weekends can get noisy.

Staff were super friendly & helpful...They made me feel as if I were a member of the family & a most welcome guest in their home; especially, front desk ladies & housekeeping ladies.
