The staff were lovely. The food was very good in the restaurant, with a decent breakfast spread. For a noisy location the restaurant, bar and lobby area were surprisingly quiet and relaxing.
The mattress was very hard. The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom was, as in most hotels these days it seems, too dim.
Perfect location, food was lovely. Only slight confusion at breakfast during our stay with being seated for breakfast. However staff dealt with me right away wan I realised I had to be seated before getting breakfast.
Breakfast was good but patience needed if you want anything f rom the kitchen but worth the wait for poached eggs.
The hotel was very convenient for travelling on Brittany Ferries and easy to find close to the M273. Free parking was available on site. The check-in was smooth and friendly. The bedroom was well equipped with a King-sized bed and two comfortable arm-chairs and a good bathroom.
The extraordinarily hard mattress was a major draw back, making for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. The breakfast was disappointing with standard offerings but no freshly squeezed orange juice, no fried eggs, no smoked salmon or cheese that I could find.

Bed was comfortable, room was spacious and very clean and the staff were welcoming.
For the price and star rating I was extremely disappointed that there was no bath in the room. The scrambled eggs at breakfast tasted off on the first day and the bacon was like cardboard.
