Property was beautiful. Spa was very disappointing

Cons:

Extremely disappointing spa experience at this property. I booked a specific treatment and was given something completely different instead. When I brought it to their attention, there was zero accountability and no real effort made to resolve the issue.

Their “solution” was offering me the treatment I originally booked the next time I return… despite knowing I likely won’t be back to Austria anytime soon. No partial refund, no real apology, nothing.

For a Rosewood property, the level of customer service was honestly shocking. I expected far better.

Do yourself a favor and skip the spa here.

Excellent short stay
Pros:

Excellent lake-side retreat, really good rooms and great food and drink options. Staff very friendly. Staff helped with taxis to airport and Salzburg.

Cons:

As expected, and this is not a criticism, everything is very expensive. I didn’t mind this for food & drink given the quality, but it was going to cost €40 to wash a gym top and shorts - I asked the hotel if there was any flexibility on that and they said they’d check with housekeeping, but never got back to me.

Die ehemalige Kulisse der Sissifilme ist eine Kulisse

Das Personal war freundlich, die Betten bequem, die Anwendungen perfekt (!), der Hund durfte mit ins Restaurant, das Essen war einwandfrei, Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt, eigentlich war alles auf den ersten Blick optimal....

Cons:

... wir sind allerdings einen Tag (3 gebucht) früher nach Hause gefahren, weil wir uns nicht wirklich wohl gefühlt haben. Das ist eine persönliche Sache. Wir kamen uns in diesem komplett "smart" organisierten Haus vor wie in einer amerikanischen Kulisse, und eigentlich waren wir doch im schönen Salzkammergut in Österreich. Vielleicht sind wir auch zu alt für so ein modernes Haus?

Possibly the most tranquil place we’ve ever visited
Pros:

Yes it’s an expensive hotel, but the attention to detail and friendliness of the staff is probably the best I have experienced. The lake views and surroundings make it such a special place. The spa was beautiful and whilst treatments were expensive, again the service was amazing.

Cons:

The lighting system in the room was a little overcomplicated, but this was a minor detail. Everything else was first class
