We have stayed at Sofitel Warsaw many times over the years. That is precisely why we chose the hotel again without hesitation. We trusted the brand and expected the same level of hospitality that had made us return time and time again.
This time, we decided to make our stay even more enjoyable and booked an Upgraded Junior Suite with One King Bed. The total amount charged to us was €485.96. We deliberately chose not to book a standard room because we expected a genuinely superior experience.
Instead, we were assigned a room that felt old, worn out, and far below the standard one would expect from this category.
After speaking with the reception team, we were shown several alternative rooms. This is where the situation became truly surprising. A standard room on a higher floor, available for €269–281 for the same stay, was noticeably better than the room we had originally been assigned.
In other words, it was the hotel itself that demonstrated that a significantly less expensive room offered a noticeably better experience than the premium category we had paid for.
In the end, we were charged €485.96, yet stayed in a standard room worth €269–281 because it was objectively better than the Upgraded Junior Suite we had originally received. We therefore paid more than €200 extra for a room category that ultimately proved to be inferior.
At that point, the fair solution seemed obvious: either provide the Junior Suite we had paid for, or move us to the standard room and refund the difference.
Neither happened.
We were informed that because the reservation had been made through Booking.com, no price adjustment could be made.
That was the moment we felt that the interests of a returning guest had become less important than the internal policies between the hotel and the booking platform.
As a gesture of goodwill, we were offered two complimentary glasses of champagne. Frankly, this felt completely disproportionate to the situation.
The pool and the room.
The gym is too small.
The teapots at breakfast don't filter the tea leaves.

Can’t think of anything we did not like
We stayed at this hotel as part of our package tour that we took with gate 1 travel. Very nice hotel with nice amenities. The breakfast was a nice variety of choices. The dinner we had was top notch. I would stay at this hotel if I ever go back to Warsaw.
Breakfast at Sofitel is exceptional. Fresh, delicious and wide ranging. Dinners are intimate and designed to stimulate your palette. Hotel location is very good. I visit this hotel once a year and would recommend it without hesitation.
been visiting this Hotel once a year for several years.
Maybe new bedding? Not essential during a short stay.

przepiękny hotel w doskonałej lokalizacji ,profesjonalny i pomocny personel, mega wygodne łóżka, przestronne pokoje, fantastyczna restauracja i bar
I recently stayed at the Sofitel Victoria Warsaw for 3 nights, marking my second visit to this wonderful hotel. As always, its location is absolutely perfect—right in the center of Warsaw with seamless access to anywhere in the city. I highly recommend it to all business travelers.
The concierge team deserves high praise for their efficiency; they flawlessly assisted me with booking opera tickets, arranging airport transfers, and ordering three beautiful bouquets of flowers for my family.
However, the absolute highlight of my stay was the exceptional care provided by the Guest Relations Specialist, Inga Gorna. When Inga learned that this trip was a deeply personal one—a reunion with my mother, whom I hadn't seen in nearly 5 years—she went above and beyond anything I could have ever expected.
She immediately upgraded my room to the best available suite with a stunning view of the central square. She also welcomed us with a bottle of wine, delightful compliments, and even arranged for a beautiful breakfast so my mother and I could enjoy it together overlooking the square.
But what completely blew me away was her kindness outside the hotel walls. Inga personally accompanied me to Warsaw Central Railway Station to ensure everything went smoothly. She spent nearly an hour with me standing in the summer heat, waiting to welcome my mother and coordinating the hotel transfer.
Her thoughtful gestures, including two handwritten notes that truly touched our hearts, made our stay unforgettable. My mother actually took those notes home as a keepsake. Inga is now a true friend, and I look forward to returning the hospitality whenever she visits Dubai.
If you are looking for luxury paired with genuine human care, Sofitel Victoria Warsaw is the only choice. Thank you, Inga, for making this reunion so magical!
