Pros:

Stayed in the Premier 2 bedrooms with sea view. The room was well equipped with kitchen facilities like oven/microwave, toaster and enough crockery for 4 persons. Large dining table and seating area. Clean and very comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms were huge and lots of cabinet space. The master bathroom even have a bathtub that overlook the sea view. Very special indeed.
Do take a night stroll along the Gurney Bay across the hotel. You will be rewarded with cool breeze and brightly lit
buildings especially the City of Dreams (COD).
Staff were very accommodating to request for additional towels and duvets. Am truly happy with my stay at Ascott Gurney Penang.

Pros:

In the room we stayed, there was a washer/dryer machine. Cooking utensils were provided conveniently, cooking appliances are in good working condition. Loved the modern n simple design of the rooms.

Cons:

I found the bed too hard and the pillows were too soft. I didn't realise we can actually order pillows, I only realised this on the last day.

酒店地址很好，grab 去 George Town 大多數是 MYR$6-10, 10分鐘車程
房間很舒適乾淨
海景非常好

Pros:

Room was unexpectedly super spacious! Facilities were great from the well equipped 24 hour gym to the nice pools. Great location as well in front of a nice park with great view of the sea.

Cons:

The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Although a decent selection, the food was a hit and miss. Some were good while others were either stale or not tasty at all.

Pros:

Perfect location especially if travelling with kids
Easy access from hotel lift to Gurney walk which has mart,restaurants,kids play etc.
Also very close to other malls like gurney plaza,gurney paragon mall which is easily accessible by cabs.

Rooms are super clean
Friendly staffs
Hotel amenities are best.

Cons:

Breakfast was good.but too many local foods.
Little bit variation in cuisine would have been better

Most problematic stay I ever had
Pros:

Generally clean

Cons:

Half the hotel had no electricity on my first day, washing machine destroyed the room on my 2nd, broken door on my 3rd… was given a room different from what I booked and told that I can change the next day. Approached them on the next day, they told me can only change back on another day!

Very disappointing experience.

On the day of check-in, the hotel experienced a power outage. Unfortunately, the front desk's response was simply to ask guests to find alternative accommodation on their own or wait indefinitely until the issue was resolved. No proper assistance, contingency plan, or reasonable solution was offered.

What made the situation even worse was the lack of follow-up afterward. Several days have passed, and I have not received any refund confirmation email, update, or communication regarding the matter. As a guest, I expected the hotel to handle the situation more professionally and proactively.

The poor crisis management and lack of customer service have left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.
