Spark by Hilton Savannah Airport

Our first time at a Spark by Hilton hotel. Overall, good value. There was an issue with one of our rooms at check in that could have let to a bigger problem. The front desk associate was very helpful getting things corrected. You could tell this is a high volume hotel, but it was maintained well.

Location was good. The staff were nice and helpful. Surprisingly, my room was clean for the most part and comfortable. The room looked to have been recently renovated, thankfully. My first impression of the hotel was with the beaten down lobby and entrance. The stone entryway, the rug inside the automatic doors, the doors, the elevator, and rug leading to the elevator were all FILTHY! All the white wooden molding around the floor in the lobby was filthy. The one luggage cart was dangerously rickety and covered with oatmeal flakes. I used it anyway with caution. I parked and noted the security light above my car was broken and hanging by a wire which from the looks of it has been broken for a while. I expected better from Hilton. Didn’t know low cost meant low quality.

There isn’t much more to ask for, when looking for a quick easy stay near the airport.

But the staff was wonderful - that was the best think about our stay.

This budget hotel was average for one night. The outside and lobby areas are newer than the rooms. Very thin walls in the rooms. No USB ports and plugs not easily accessible. This hotel is busy with lots of noise in the hallways which doesn't let you sleep with the thin walls. I asked for hand soap from cleaning staff and the answer was they didn't have any - I had to use the bodywash from the shower bottles for sink. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Room was fine. Was disappointed in breakfast selections. On line price was 100.00 less than at counter. Booked online while checking in.

Shout out to Darrell who immediately moved me to a quieter room and investigated a high-pitched whine I was hearing off and on in my first room. Darrell was super helpful and had a great attitude, and he made it clear my comfort and satisfaction were his priority. Slept like a baby that night. Much appreciated!!

Breakfast was yogurt, bagels with a toaster, spreads and toppings. Decent coffee. Generous hours for breakfast and the airport shuttle, which you are supposed to reserve in advance. Clean with very friendly staff.

Absolutely terrible customer service from Nick (remember the name as he’s a very deceiving man) who refused to raise a complaint after a member of staff was previously rude to me and then got OUT OF HIS WAY to ensure I don’t get refunded for my stay, even though he’d previously said he would offer the refund. Really bad customer service and experience all round.

Affordable? Yes. Staff great? Yes - super hardworking and accommodating. Do not expect more than what you see in the pictures: very spartan furnishings, close to the airport, free parking, little breakfast bar. Fine for an overnight stay, for sure, just keep your expectations in line with other reviews and photos. Would we stay here again? Maybe not. We chose it because it was one of the few properties where we could use our Amex statement credit, and it was fine for that.

I would have scored it higher, and I realize that guest behavior is outside it's control, but when you have a woman having a very loud conversation on her phone with the speaker on in the hallway at 10:45pm when people are trying to sleep, this will have a negative impact on overall experience. I was about to call the front desk, but after 15 minutes she must have gone into her room because the noise stopped.
Front desk personnel was friendly and efficient. Room was nice and clean. Shuttle to airport was quick.

Hotel was exactly as described. Clean and comfortable room with lots of space. The only thing I wish was different was if the room was cleaned each day we were there.

This Spark location was above and beyond what I had expected.

The tone was set before I even walked through the door!

I called to see if I could have a shuttle sent to the airport; but I had called just as shuttles were supposed to stop running.
However, the AMAZING young lady at the front desk (Ms. Kanita) went above and beyond to coordinate with the kind shuttle driver; so that I was picked up -nevertheless- and brought to the Spark, regardless.

Now THAT’s the type of service that makes one feel like a Hilton HONOR member!

Ms. Kanita then proceeded to knock my experience out of the park by answering my 101 questions; while proceeding to accommodate my old needy self with a level of patience and grace unparalleled in all my many journeys thus far.

Talk about service with a smile!

To seal the deal, the room was crisp, clean and functional.

One could easily see that they go above and beyond at this location in order to provide guests with plenty of options, and wholesome ingredients.

If I could give this location more than five stars, I WOULD.

Extremely thin walls. Get ready to hear other talking n room next door at ANY TIME of the day and night. My case was 2 am. Also be ready for zero help if you need pillows. Their pillows are super thin and small. I requested some extra and they said the hotel is fully booked and I don’t have any extra. It was a clear lie because I saw the cars and also asked the kitchen lady she said it was slow.

Great stop. Room nice size, very clean & bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but well thought out. What was offered was fresh & enough variety to please just about everyone.
