It’s a conference centre not holiday destination.
Pros:

First of all the hotel as a building is very nice. Clean, spacious and modern, no issues here.

The staff are nice and polite and doing their job but that’s about it. Not very friendly and definitely not very welcoming. They’re just there…

The swimming pool is basically a concrete area with no soul to it. The loungers are OK, very basic and there’s no tables to put your drink/book/phone down. There’s some wooden platforms in the shady area but if you want to sit there you have to carry your lounger yourself and it’s up a hill, so not ideal. There’s no staff attending the pool area.
There’s a small bar by the pool but again very simple, not particularly nice, but it’s ok.

Breakfast is ok, the selection is VERY limited as for example there’s only one type of yoghurt (very thin, runny, natural one).
The complete lack of attention to details is shocking, for example strawberries are not even washed before they’re put out. Gross!
Everything is very average and if you come for breakfast less than half an hour before it ends you’ll find most items missing and not being replaced. The other day we overslept and got to breakfast at 10:15 (ends at 10:30) and there’s barely any bread, most fruit bowls were empty and no cake or anything sweet.
The juices are served by automatic dispensers but there’s only juice from concentrate in apple, orange and blueberry flavour. It’s basically water with sugar and some colouring. You have to water it down if you don’t want to develop diabetes on day one…
There’s no lunch or dinner being served in the hotel. The breakfast area serves lunch and dinners ONLY for conference attendees. There’s two restaurants at the Marina but the selection is quite limited. Food is tasty but I’ve never seen a hotel that doesn’t have lunch/dinner facilities for the guests. Very disappointing.

The hotel is located good few miles from Split so taxis or car rental are your only options if you want to see the town and the traffic outside of the hotel is mental so it takes forever to get anywhere.
The area where the hotel is located is very basic and there’s very few places to go for a meal or a drink.

The main issue with this hotel is that it’s not really a holiday destination!
It’s a conference centre and there’s events there ALL THE TIME.
We stayed for 10 days and I have to say it wasn’t very nice when we’re lounging around the pool with tens if not hundreds of people in full smart clothing is taking photos and videos around the pool.
The hotel makes most of their money on conferences so holiday guests are treated like second class. Everything revolves around the business events. Even not whilst typing this I can see lantern being installed all around the pool area for the conference that’s starting tomorrow as they’ll be having dinners and parties there for the next few days… not great!

All in all the hotel itself is ok, the stay is NOT.
Definitely not worth the money and definitely not for family holidays.

Lovely stay!
Pros:

We are so happy with our stay at Le Meridien! We loved the service and all the staff was friendly. Lovely for kids with pool inside and outside. The hotel has to beaches, one is calm and beautiful or you can book at the beachclub if you want more party mood. We booked room at the marina and loved it.

Spectacular views, 3-night stay
Pros:

My wife and I are semi-retired, and fortunate to travel the world 4 months a year. As a Marriott Titanium purely from our leisure travel, as always, I emailed and chatted with the hotel beforehand requesting that our Elegant Sea View Room have a nice sea view from a high floor.

At first, I was confused when we were actually downgraded to a Premium Park View Room, but the hotel said this was automatically done by the app.

We arrived Sunday night, off-season, and the hotel wasn’t crowded.

On arrival, the hotel upgraded us to a Premium Sea View Room. Our room was in the new tower on the 12th of 13 floors. The view really was spectacular, of the sea, islands beyond, Split suburbs, and mountains beyond. The room was well-furnished, new, clean, comfortable. It looked smaller, the same as the photos of the Elegant Sea View Rooms, but the hotel said it was a Premium Room because of the view. The balcony was a bit noisy from the road, and other neighbors. I could also hear other neighbors on their balconies from inside our room.

The whole resort is quite beautiful, with beautiful sea views everywhere.

The staff were all nice.

Breakfast was good, and a highlight of our time in Split was enjoying breakfast outdoors on the terrace with the beautiful views. The service at breakfast was always exceptional.

The hotel gave 2 complimentary drinks, and free admission to the Mestrovic Gallery and Chapel, normally costing 12 euros, which we enjoyed.

We had dinner at Conlemani, and the food and service were good.

We paid 15 euros/day for parking. Each day, we drove 20 minutes to the Old Town, where parking was 4 euros/hour.

I've been to Le Méridien Lav twice now, year after year, and that's probably the best recommendation. You can see the property isn't brand new and shows its age a bit, but it doesn't matter at all because it's perfectly maintained. Everything works as it should, the attention to detail is visible everywhere. Overall, it's top..
The biggest plus worth mentioning is the breakfast. It's simply amazing! Great quality and a huge selection.

Cons:

Honestly, there's really nothing to complain about. I highly recommend it.

Nice hotel in the Split area
Pros:

Was here for a mix of a work conference for my husband and some vacation time. Hotel was nice. Nice views of the marina. Bed was terribly hard and no office desk or chair in the room. Also, had a small toilet flushing issue, but they resolved it fairly quickly. It's a bit outside of the city center - so had to take several Ubers into town - about 20 minutes each way due to bad traffic. Would recommend if in the area.

Definitely 5 Star
Pros:

We were on a program that rented out the entire hotel. I have worked hard to separate out the program staff from the hotel and hotel staff. To begin with, the hotel is what you would expect from a Mariott Bonvoy. 5 stars, always clean and new and the staff polite and on the ball. I used the spa for a facial and a blow out and it was wonderful. comparable to any good spa in the US. The staff was constantly cleaning and was super polite and helped when needed. They have 2 pools indoor and outdoor infinity pool which were lovely. They had inflatable bouncy houses for the kids and lots of lounge chairs by the pools. Our room had a peaceful view of the marina and the water and was quiet and beautiful. DEFINITELY consider this hotel while in Split!

Gewoon een mooi, schoon en gezellig hotel
Pros:

Mooie locatie aan zee, superschoon, heel mooi en gezellig ingericht. Fijne, ruime kamer, heerlijke bedden en zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Cons:

Eigenlijk niks, maar als ik dan toch iets moet zeggen, de ontbijtzaal is erg kaal en daardoor wat saai, maak hem net zo gezellig als de bar en het restaurant.
