Molto bella la posizione e il porticciolo
Lo staff della reception è formato per un hotel di 3 stelle ad essere buoni
I wanted to love my stay at Le Méridien Lav, but the experience was highly inconsistent.
The Good:
The overall cleanliness of the hotel was good, and the buffet breakfast was enjoyable. A huge standout was the Gooshter private pool area—the space was amazing and the staff there were phenomenal, kind, and attentive. Dino and Camila were great as!
The Room Issues:
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not match that standard. On three separate occasions, our room had brown water running out of the sink and shower. When we brought it up, we were simply told it was happening to the entire hotel, which is unacceptable for a resort of this tier.
The Food:
As a foodie, I don’t mind paying premium prices for great food, but the restaurants here missed the mark. The prices at Port 74 were ridiculous for the quality; my seafood pasta looked completely unpresentable, as if it had been thrown onto the plate, and the food lacked freshness and flavor. Conlemani was slightly better, but still overpriced. Ironically, the room service was less expensive and had far more flavor than anything we ate at Port 74, Conlemani, or Zheng.
The Service:
What disappointed me most was the service at the public pool. The servers blatantly ignored me, walking past my empty glasses to serve people directly behind and around me. They looked right at me multiple times but never offered assistance. When I finally brought my own glass back to the bar, the server actually smirked and waved. Once I get his name I will post it.
I spent a lot of my stay feeling uncomfortable by the staff; awkwardly staring at me and ignoring me. If you are looking for complete relaxation, unbiased treatment from all staff, and dining that justifies the high price tag, I would look elsewhere.
There are many mixed reviews on this hotel and I am not sure why as we had an excellent experience. We came here for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The restaurants on site were excellent and the staff was very kind. The hotel was incredibly clean.
This is not near the Diocletian so don’t expect walking distance to it. Ubers are sometimes challenging to get so be patient and when heading to the airport, give yourself time as there can be traffic.
The two beach fronts at the hotel are awesome. Bring some water shoes to not hurt your feet on the stoney shore! The pool is great too. THIS IS NOT AN ADULT ONLY RESORT. There are kids running around and having fun. I think that’s why people are rating this bad. You can rent day beds at Gooshter’s for the day and enjoy some excellent bites. You can also do a nice walk around the bay.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and had a relaxing time!
Recently stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon. Honestly, I was a little concerned we made a mistake after reading so many mixed reviews. Once I arrived I truly had no idea what those people are talking about, or their standards must be insanely high.
This hotel is magical, clean, smells fresh, has AC throughout, offers two separate beach front areas each with loungers you can reserve and bars, as well as a pool area and loungers you can just use at your leisure. The beach front area is fantastic. Water is perfect for swimming, nice music playing, great drinks and food and no limit on how long you can stay.
Despite there being a corporate event one evening, I never felt like I was missing out on facilities due to the time they scheduled it at (when naturally most people leave the pool area) and we were still able to access the beach.
The location is not in downtown split. It can be hard to get an uber to town during peak hours (road gets backed up). The hotel was able to provide us a cab driver within minutes. If you are hoping to be right in the heart of split, please keep in mind, podastrana is a ways away (30+ min during rush hour). Personally, I have found it more peaceful and relaxing than when I went into split.
The room was amazing. Bed is very comfortable, facilities are new and nice, clean, and the bath products are a great brand and smell like a spa. We got a marina room with a balcony and view, for the price I feel like we really scored. Cleaning services were fast, efficient and came every day. We had an issue with our shower head not working correctly and they sent someone that morning to come replace it.
Service is fantastic, the la vue bar is perfect for a night cap. The reception even gave us a free voucher for champagne and dessert since it’s our honeymoon, we used it at the bar and the fig gelato was fantastic. Staff is impeccable, always willing to answer any question and greets you with a smile and kindness every day. The breakfast is also great. Huge selection and all fresh.
We’ve tried all restaurants on the property and all are fabulous, everyone who works here is kind and a joy.
You’re not paying 4 seasons prices for this place, so don’t expect a 4 seasons experience, but for the price I greatly consider this hotel to be 5 STARS. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay here. If you’re on the fence, please don’t listen to the negative reviews! It’s absolutely beautiful, perfect and somehow still romantic and private even with events and families. We would definitely be back!
Le Méridien is beautifully situated right on the seashore, with several restaurants and bars on its premesis. Good menu selection and excellent service. The breakfast buffet is also very impressive.
The hotel has its own beach with lounge chairs and towels. However, this beach isn’t just for hotel guests — it also seems to be very popular with the locals, including families with small kids, as well as by teenagers who come straight from the street to enjoy the hotelbeach.
Before booking my stay, I contacted the hotel by phone to ask which room categories had walk-in showers, as well as which rooms are quiet located (not near any roads, the pool area, or restaurant). I also specifically mentioned this request in writing when I made the reservation. Even at the check-in at the receprion, I reminded that I had booked a quiet room. Despite this, I was given a room located right next to the heavily trafficked main road, including early morning traffic. I was offered another room, but it had no shower... Alternatively, I could have a room on the ground floor right next to the bustling lobby….
It is a bit surprising and interesting that a “five-star” hotel does not take note of, or read a guest’s pre-arrival dossier before or upon arrival.
Furthermore, one week before my arrival, I asked “guest relations” to book a massage treatment for me and send me a confirmation. When I hadn’t received any response after six days !!, I contacted the hotel, which replied that the email between the front desk and the hotel’s spa had ended up in the spa reception’s spam folder....
It is remarkable that Le Méridien Split does not have better internal administrative procedures for its guests’ reservations. Le Méridien Split is hardly a hotel I will recommend to either my business colleagues or my friends.
Viesnīcā patika absolūti viss. Tikai cena neatbilda tam servisam, ko normāli esam pieraduši saņemt Rietumeiropas kūrortos. Mūsu ieteikums būtu samazināt cenas, lai Horvātija nezaudētu savas pozīcijas tūrisma tirgū.
Patika viss.
The staff at the beach club Zhega were lovely. That beach club is the only real positive about this hotel.
This is not a 5 star hotel. The standard of the room is akin to a premier inn (it is clean). The breakfast buffet is large but of poor quality. It feels like a cheap all inclusive in a tired conference facility. There is no luxury element, the only outdoor pool is not large enough for the size of the hotel. The overall atmosphere was a tired cruise ship with plenty of empty business rooms and nothing that would suggest a five star experience. The tower block rooms are pretty depressing. Would not recommend! Cannot understand how this was ever given 5 stars. The pictures are very generous. Nothing against the breakfast staff either who were lovely. Such a shame and not worth the money.
I wasn’t too sure when we first arrived at the hotel for our 4 night stay as the hotel is massive but we actually had a really good time. Our premium room was on the 14th floor with a great view of the sea, pool & mountains. The bed was comfortable & though the bathroom was a little outdated it was fine & housekeeping was excellent
The breakfast buffet was plentiful & nice to sit outside to eat on the terrace. We really enjoyed our evening meals at the newly renovated beach club a great place to relax, have good food & watch the sunset. We loved swimming in the sea lots of sunbeds in the shade. All of the staff throughout the hotel were caring courteous & polite. We really enjoyed our stay. thank you!
Lokalizacja jest bardzo dobra
Brakowało mi bufetu na kolację
Gorgeous beach, amazing beach bars, and nice hotel!
The beds are a little too stiff and the pillows are not very comfortable. For the price I expect a better mattress/pillows.
It was clean and located on the beach
The food could have been better
