Shuttle guys are very nice
The waiting in line to check in on a kiosk. The front desk are a little mean and seemed like they were bothered to sell us drinks from their refrigerator. Shuttle service was great.
Proche de l'aéroport, restauration sur place , piscine chaude , bon rapport qualité prix
Rien
This hotel was not at all what we expected. The staff (for the most part) were miserable and unhelpful. Two standout staff were pleasant and helpful - the new shuttle driver and the doorman at the breakfast buffet.
The initial impression was not good. The check in process was done through a kiosk with a live agent, while four other staff sat behind a glass wall. The beverages were locked up and the grounds were dark and did not feel safe.
The rooms were clean and decent, however the entire one wall was window which added to the unsafe feeling. Every noise above and beside sounded like they were in our room with us.
Checkout was much smoother than check in, but they insisted on checking our room before reimbursing our deposit. Annoying but fine.
We would never stay here again. The evening shuttle driver from the airport was completely miserable and rude to the passengers. When we got in he cranked the stereo, and never say two more words. Agitated and not at all friendly. On the other hand, the day shuttle driver was wonderful. Smiley and friendly - very helpful and really helped to send us off In the right vacation mode.
The complimentary shuttle and driver were very good.
More pleasant employees. One female employee who checked us in appeared to dislike her job
Convenience and the pool
I did not like the check in kiosk. It was difficult to hear and understand. I prefer a desk clerk
The listing said it could accommodate trailers but when we got there they charged an extra $65 plus said we couldn’t keep the boat trailer there even though there were only 2 other vehicles in thst lot. I cried at check in
What i said above. The clerk of the desk was not clear, did not speak very good English, and it took about an hour to get everything straightened out, causing the rest of my party to be very upset with me so it was not a good start to the night plus by the time they were finished raking us over the coals. The restaurant was closed even though on the site and the signage and reception said that it was opened until midnight and we ended up eating dinner that was brought in from a pizza place at 1 AM.

Motel location is great, rooms are clean, pool and bar are nice..... now..... shuttle service going to fort lauderdale is fine , but don't expect them to pick you up, because you will wait for hours, ! We paid 30pp each way to take us to Miami cruise port and pick us up, so 120 R/T.... they never came and picked us up, we had to call a Uber after waiting for 3 hours, tried calling them 4 times, I finally got thru to someone at front desk and they acted like they had no idea they were supposed to pick us up, but they had no problem taking our money !! And, a Uber was only 60.00 from Miami to fort lauderdale Airport and hotel charged is 120.00, so, don't pay them a dime to go to Miami, just Uber yourselves !
The shuttles from the airport and to the cruise ship port
Breakfast could have been a little better
Menos mi el microondas servía
El check in con la máquina atrasa el proceso éramos 4 cuartos y tenían 2 empleados en el counter y ninguno nos atendió. No me gustó
We booked a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale and needed a place to stay for 2 nights before we sailed. We made the unforgivable mistake of choosing this hotel. We arrived just before midnight. The lobby was so full of suitcases, you couldn't tell who owned which ones. Each person who approached the front desk seemed to be required to tell their life's story, it seemed to take so long. BUT, we waited, and waited ... and waited until it was finally our turn, only to be told that, since we had a reservation, we couldn't check in at the counter, we had to use the ATM-like machine in the corner. Now, there is absolutely no signage in the lobby to this effect, and I guess it's just too much trouble for the staff to actually let you know you don't have to wait. We finally got to our room about an hour after we arrived. It was a ludicrous wait, and a ludicrous way to be treated.
Now, this place may have been pretty good .. .maybe 30 years ago, but nobody's done any real maintenance in a very, very long time. Our hotel room door didn't lock properly when closed. I didn't discover that until I came back one time to find I didn't need the key to get in. The only way to lock the door was to slam it about 5 times, checking each time to see if it worked. I went to the front desk to advise them. The young lady behind the desk answered 3 phone calls while I stood waiting, without acknowledging my existence, yelled very loudly - unintelligibly - several times to someone in the back room, then finally asked me what I wanted. I explained about the broken door. She rolled her eyes ... seriously ... but did not offer a solution.
The restaurant is truly awful. I waked around the neighbourhood looking for an alternative, but there simply isn't anything, unless you have a car. BUT on two separate occasions, when I asked the locals for a restaurant recommendation nearby, their only recommendation was to stay away from the restaurant at the Rodeway. It's that bad.
They do offer a free shuttle to the dockyard. BUT, once again, the staff will let you know they're doing you a VERY big favour by giving you the most basic information. Finally on the morning we were to leave, we found a crowd of about 200 people waiting for shuttles, all wondering where they should stand (after being told they couldn't sit in the lobby). So, we all stood around some guy showed with a microphone, yelling at everybody for being in exactly the wrong place ... even though there was no indication of where we should actually be. The busses finally showed up. but had to compete for room in front of the doors with the new hotel guests arriving in taxis and Ubers ... it was absolute chaos. I did manage to get onto one of the busses, and am still surprised that it was the correct one, because there was nobody willing or apparently capable, of answering even simple questions.
You couldn't pay me enough to stay here again.
