Very noisy accommodation
Pros:

I am a light sleeper and couldn’t sleep all night. There was a 24h construction nearby. The rooms were passable.

Pros:

Perfect location for out-of-towners visiting for the Brisbane Marathon as the starting line was just outside the front door! And Oaks is one of the major sponsors of the event. Helpful, bubbly and efficient reception staff. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Great floor plan - large balcony with chairs and table. Kitchen well stocked with all the essentials. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Comfy couch, two TVs, plenty of cupboards. Room dated, needs a spruce up, but clean. Bathroom has shower in bathtub arrangement. Ancient tapware with difficult to adjust temperature control -either freezing or scalding, nothing in between. Water flow only a trickle from shower head. Not practical for a post-marathon soothing shower. Perhaps needs new washers and tap re-seating? Bed a little too firm. Great location with 10 minute walk to the centre of the CBD. Dozens of local eating options. Easy walk through Botanic Gardens and over footbridge to Southbank (15-20 minute walk). Would stay again.

Great location, hotel needs a bit of TLC, but good value for money based on location and size.
Pros:

The location is great, very central and walkable. The rooms are spacious and the view was nice. The pool is good.

Cons:

The seals on the sliding glass doors didn’t fully seal, which caused a whistling noise whenever the door was closed. There is construction nearby that can start from 6am. No additional blankets or towels provided.

Reasonably priced, clean and comfortable.
Pros:

The view was amazing. The beds were so comfortable, and everything went as planned from checking to checking out.
The staff on reception were very helpful. Because we were going into the city overnight for my birthday there was a bottle of wine etc when we arrived. Lovely.
