Great location but a few easy to fix let downs
Pros:

Excellent location - we were attending a concert at Riverstage, was a super easy walk over there. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were happy to have a balcony and view of the river which was unexpected! We had a two bedroom apartment and it was a great size, and great to have two bathrooms as well.

Cons:

The place is pretty run down, there were some pretty basic things that were broken including one of the showerheads which was pretty much unusable. It had clearly been like that for a while. I also found both of the milks in the fridge were expired by two months which was pretty poor. A few little things that were easy to sort that would have made this stay a lot nicer.

Nice stay in a good location, had lovely view of the bridge. Unit was very comfortable.
Pros:

Good location, nice clean facilities & helpful staff. 2 Bedroom unit was perfect for 4 adults & a toddler.

Car park is very tight for larger cars

Convenient but disappointing
Pros:

I stayed here because of the Oaks brand and reputation. The apartments seemed good value for a 2 bedroom apartment in a central CBD location. The Airconditioning was good, the apartment was clean and the staff friendly. The location was great and the apartment a good size but that's about it.

Cons:

The apartment was placed on the letting roll and marketed before fit for purpose. It was a large two storey apartment but not toilet on the ground floor so you had to go upstairs all the time. The decor was as bland as anything. Offwhite walls. Heaps of shelves with not one ornament. Wall art or pictures of any kind and in the master bedroom, there was a huge wall to wall cabinet with glass doors which was empty and the whole place had the feel of an industrial storage place with a bed in it. The lighting was totally insufficient with the eco but extremely dark and low powered cold white lights. We had to turn on a desk lamp in the lounge for adequate lighting.

I market a number of apartment resorts on the Gold Coast and know this industry well. I would not have included this apartment in the holiday rental pool until the owner had made it more presentable as it was not in keeping with the Oaks brand. I would have placed this into permanent rental.

Meh.
Pros:

The location is fine but that’s the case for all the city apartments. This one is no different really.

Cons:

The room on arrival smelled like hospital grade disinfectant had been used to
Cover some smells and the balcony door had been left open to air it. It was overpowering and I had to leave the door open for a few hours to dissipate it - but in the end I think I just got used to it.
