Great location and splendid views. Breakfasts are excellent, range is wide, quality is great.
Rooms require refreshment, feels like they are 15+years old. Queening at breakfast is disappointing especially when it is 2 hours before the closing.

The location and the view from the room were good. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended.
This hotel is absolutely not worth the money it charges. The service was disappointing from start to finish and nowhere near the standard expected from a Grand Hyatt property.
The most shocking part was the cleanliness. When we entered the room for the first time, there was a huge black hair lying on one of the supposedly clean towels. This was disgusting and immediately made us question the hygiene standards of the hotel.
For the price paid, we expected a premium experience, but instead received poor service, lack of attention to detail, and cleanliness issues that should never happen in a luxury hotel. We have stayed in far better hotels in Shanghai for significantly less money.

Das Hotel besticht durch seine absolute Top-Lage in Lujiazui, direkt neben der IFC Mall, der Super Brand Mall und der Metro-Station. Das Frühstück ist qualitativ hochwertig und bietet einen fantastischen Blick über Shanghai. Vom Zimmer aus hat man eine sehr gute Sicht auf den Shanghai Tower und den Huangpu-Fluss. Das Servicepersonal ist überaus freundlich und der Zimmerservice hat einen guten Job gemacht. Absolut weiterzuempfehlen!

Grand Hyatt Shanghai gave me a wonderful experience during this stay.
The hotel has an excellent location for tourists, with beautiful views of the Bund and the surrounding skyscrapers. It is also very convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the Metro Line 2/14 station.
One suggestion for international travelers: be careful when taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel. I would recommend using Didi whenever possible. If you do take a regular taxi, the fare should usually be around RMB 200. Always ask for a receipt and, if there is any issue, check with the hotel concierge. The concierge team is very helpful and can support guests in handling these situations.
Overall, I had a great stay and appreciated the hotel’s location, views, and helpful service.

This is not a 5 star hotel a very low 4* at best.
- the rooms smell like old ciggar smoke and decades of stale moudly air, people clearly smoked in those rooms for years.
- the rooms are old very old remind of 90's vegas hotels
- place is super loud, not very organised
- the bathroom is smaller than airbuss 380 bathroom
- i was at floor 80 the view out was horrible metal beams in the way
- bed was hard and unconfortable
