Check-in was seamless and the person at the desk was friendly, polite and helpful and suggested some ideas for dining out, which came in handy. The breakfast was really good with many options (full English breakfast or Continental breakfast) and the staff was pleasant.
I paid for the most expensive room on booking.com at £135. This was a suite with a mezzanine floor for the bedroom. Sadly the room was tired with a poor repair on the ceiling from a leak above and the TV unit had clearly been sawn in half and they didn't bother to stain to colour match. Paint was scuffed off in the bathroom, which was a bit small with limited space around the sink due to awkward corners; it had cracked floor tiles and damp on the grout. The suite wasn't as spacious as the pictures suggested and felt like a box room version of a suite. I phoned reception when we realised only one bathrobe/pair of slippers had been provided for both of us. A member of staff promptly came up to bring the missing items, unfortunately only the robe was brought up, no slippers. So maybe a little more attention to detail wouldn't go amiss. All in all we were happy with the comfortable bed and the good breakfast but felt let down by the room itself. As we left our room to check out of the hotel, we saw into one of the other suites as the cleaners were in it with the door open. It was far more modern and spacious. So maybe they hold the best rooms for direct bookings. But for the price I paid I would have expected better.
Booked a delux king room. Checked in got to the room and the room was on two floors with 2 tvs an espresso coffee machine and an exceptionally comfortable bed the prices were reasonable with a lovely breakfast buffet at only 12 pp additional cost . Location very central for everything we went to a gig at Sheffield arena and the tram stop is located veey close also taxis just around the corner both cost around 12 quid each way for 2 of us. If in Sheffield again will definitely stay at this hotel x

Great central location. My room was fantastic with excellent facilities, very clean and very comfortable. Immaculate to be fair and the cleaning lady was very polite and friendly as all the staff were.
Nothing not to like
The room was huge and so well insulated, plus the staff were very lovely.
Very spacious room. Very comfy bed. Excellent bathroom with zero delay for water to be hot. Nice bar area. Attractive exterior appearance of building. Characterful.
Just some of the corridors look a bit tired. The desk in the room looks a bit tired. Otherwise everything else was absolutely fine.
Central location, friendly staff, air conditioning on the hottest day.
Female receptionist exceptional. Friendly, helpful, great welcome.
