Excellent option near Rome airport
Pros:

Shuttle from the airport runs every 15 minutes. No need to wait in the huge taxi line. Early checkin was much appreciated after an overnight flight from the West Coast. Super quiet for being so close to the airport. Food on premise was convenient. Nice European breakfast.

Cons:

Staff seemed just a tiny bit snooty.

An excellent ariport hotel and restaurant at a reasonable price
Pros:

Convenient to airport at a lower cost that’s actually staying at the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free shuttle to the airport (every 15 minutes, 24/7) was convenient. Best of all, and as a fine surprise, the food at the hotel’s restaurant was excellent. One of us had salmon(!), the other, grilled chicken with vegetables. And the cocktail was well made and quite large, lol. Definitely recommend this hotel and their restaurant.

The shuttle is confusing. It should say ‘hotel shuttle’, not ‘airport shuttle’, as this makes you think it shuttles between Ciampino and Fiumicino. A bit expensive too.
