Pros:

Fantastic venue but little things….
Pros:

Location and friendliness of the staff followed by car parking

Cons:

Service in the restaurant in the evening was very slow - I ate early evening about 6.10 and two courses took over an hour.

I was also cold in my room (401) with no apparent way to warm the room up.

The TV remote was on and off (perhaps the battery was failing), so I had to try to operate the TV manually - I got bored getting up to change the channel and adjust the sound so turned it off.

Picturesque surrounds and lovely walks
Pros:

Lovely serene views, nice walks. The decor in the main house is lovely.
The gardens were nice and parking was good.

Cons:

Breakfast was a bit ordinary most of it was luke warm or verging on cold.
The room was very small we struggled with two large suitcases in a small area.
We thought we were staying in a posh manor house lol. The hotel is around the back. Our mistake

Lovely stay but Garden rooms building need updating
Pros:

Beautiful Manor House look in pleasant grounds.

Cons:

Nearly walked off we once saw the concrete block where the Garden Rooms were. Inside was a different story, lovely rooms, clean & tidy. Windows need attention as with the rest of the outside of this block of rooms.

This was our second visit which did not disappoint and will definitely stay again
Pros:

Clean. Comfortable beds with decent pillows - not so thick that you can’t lie on them!! Quiet room overlooking walled garden. Small spa with pool and gym but clean and perfectly adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Good buffet choice. Tastefully furnished rooms. Good location with easy access to Oxford and main routes. Lovely Italian garden and outside areas. Great value for money

Cons:

The annex block needs repainting as it is a little off putting to look at from the outside. Certain members of staff could have been a little friendlier

A wonderful stay in a beautiful location with excellent food beautifully presented served by nice st
Pros:

I liked the professionalism of all the staff. It was clear upon arrival that guests are well catered for. May i pass on my sincerest best regards to all the reception and dining room staff for assisting my elderly aunt who unfortunately had a fall while walking to the bar after dinner. The staff stayed with us for 2 hours to make sure our patient was as comfortable as could be given the upsetting situation. Fortunately my aunt didn't break or fracture anything and after an examination and treatment for a sore shoulder she was discharged from hospital during the night and returned to the hotel to continue our stay. Excellent all round.

Cons:

The only thing is didn't like was the calling of last orders at the bar so early. As resident guests I would have liked the opportunity to stay up a bit late seeing as we all paid a lot of money to stay the night only for it to be curtailed by licensing laws. Perhaps a late license to stay open until midnight would have been much better.

Good value, lovely surroundings. Could have been cleaner.

Facilities, surroundings and general areas were well kept.

Cons:

The bathroom was tired and not the cleanest. The floor had clearly not been cleaned properly and was dusty. The boiler broke down and we had no hot water for showers in the morning. No real apology or incentive was given as a result of this.

Wish we booked for longer!
Pros:

Everything, Location, Staff very friendly, breakfast amazing!

Cons:

Weekday breakfast time 7am - 9am . Just an extra half hour 09:30 finish would give you 10 from me!

Good breakfast ideal location for what we wanted to do.. Generally room good

Cons:

Bed too soft pillows lumpy. Bit stingy with the tea in the room.
How did they get permission to build the concrete monstrosity in the car park, so ugly compared to the rest of the hotel

London prices without the service
Pros:

Lovely Location and facilities

Cons:

The garden block was expensive and aesthetically poor compare compared to the rest of the buildings. I had the steak for dinner which at £40 was sinewy although well cooked I was unable to eat so unfortunately the worst steak I’ve ever had. Although the staff were accommodating, tracking them down was a problem.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Location for what we needed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Inside the house was lovely

Cons:

Breakfast was buffet n plenty of choice but it was always cold. The coffee machines kept having an issues didn’t get a coffee with breakfast but had one in our room.
In our room there wasn’t enough tea, coffee or milk but we did get some from house keeping who was very friendly n helpful. I would definitely stay again and recommend to family n friends
