Important facilities were not open eg indoor pool, lack on communication about check in times and being charged, very bad and confusing parking (had to go to a different tower and through lots of lifts just to get to your car each day),
Pool was closed
The location and size of the apartment. the pool was nice, but definitely too cold to use in 20 degree weather as its not heated.
The fridge didnt work, everything froze, even on the least cold setting. the pillows were like bags of rocks. we had 4 towels, 2 hand towels and 2 bath mats (for 2 bathrooms - 4 people), we needed more but had no option for more. There werent any doonas, only blankets, which was not sufficient as it gets cold at night. The bathroom exhaust fans didnt work and no windows to open so they really needed to work. The main balcony doors didnt lock, the latch was broken which obviously posed a hazard. The washing machine smelt of mould. We were given only 2 weeks notice of the indoor pool being closed, yes we could have opted for a refund but with only 2 weeks notice we did not have sufficient time to find other accommodation available during our stay dates, which we couldn’t change as we booked a car and flights and other things, so we had to just keep our booking at chevron mantra. outdoor pool isnt heated, which meant the kids didnt get to swim at all due to the weather and indoor pool being closed. The hand soaps in the ensuite were completely empty! And there were ants in the kitchen and bathroom. It wasnt the worst place to stay but definitely not what we paid for. Overall disappointed and wont stay there again, you can get better value for money elsewhere.

Finding a car park
The room was spacious with a balcony and pool views. Having a bathroom plus en suite suited us as their were 3 adults. The lounge area and dining table were spacious but we didn't use them.
Nothing was open after 9.30pm in Surfers. We had Max Brenner for dinner.

It was my first hotel experience, so I didn't know what to expect. But Mantra really impressed me with all the facilities, availabilities and access to local stores and restaurants. Definitely coming back for sure😊
Some areas in the room were still dirty, and the inside of the couch was also dirty. The foxtel remote was difficult to operate.
Excellent location and view of the Gold Coast. Very helpful and kind staff.
Exhaust fans in the bathrooms weren't operational. Showers leaked plenty of water onto the bathroom floor.
