I thought my room was large and lovely. the breakfast was very good too. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful.
However, no one told me about the new rule that no one would clean my room. I didnt make a mess and just wanted the bed made and garbage taken out. I was horrified to come back at night and see my unmade bed.
This is not a low quality hotel. I expected a quality stay and to say I was annoyed is an understatement. The hotel is not charging less, but giving less to the guest.
Location
The room and the things inside are old. No kettle in the room to boil water for tea. No coffee maker. I called the reception and they told me they can't find one for me.
I had reserved accommodations at this hotel for an event my daughters and I planned to attend in the Washington D.C. area, with the booking made via booking.com. Regrettably, I fell ill and was unable to travel, prompting me to send an email to booking.com to cancel my reservation. I received a confirmation email indicating that the cancellation request had been forwarded to the hotel. Subsequently, the hotel provided me with a corporate number to initiate a case, which I did. I made over 20 attempts to contact the manager, with whom I eventually spoke once; she advised me to contact booking.com as they had not received any notification. Prior to this, I was informed that due to the hotel being fully booked and having to relocate guests to an alternative establishment, a refund could not be issued. Despite having only reserved a single room, my concerns were not addressed. I then contacted booking.com, relaying the situation to an agent who, while I was on the line, contacted the hotel. The hotel attendant confirmed that the email address on file with booking.com and the hotel's current email address differed. This discrepancy, however, is not my responsibility. Eighteen days have now passed without a resolution. The hotel's development company, based in Switzerland, has been unresponsive, and the identity of the hotel owner remains unknownSomi, the general manager, has declined to issue a refund despite an erroneous charge of $303.54 to my account. I have provided all pertinent documentation. This charge could have been circumvented if the email address had been updated; however, due to the outdated information, a refund is being withheld.
Room was very spacious and well appointed. Very clean, amenities were great. Would stay again. I think for Marriott Bonvoy members parking should be free.
Paying for parking. this hotel is not in the heart of downtown so parking should be free especially for Bonvoy members
Very clean looking throughout. Staff were very professional and friendly.
Parking fees
Breakfast
To expensive to many different charges especially parking if you stay there you should park for free
I agree with everyone's inputs on how bad this place is and the folks behind the desk argue with you. I stay in Residence Inn's all across America and not once EVER had me register with a parking app, then charge me for the privilege of parking at their location(12/day). Oh, BTW, just received a bill from their parking enforcement agency telling us we violated the parking rules and now owe 75 dollars!!! We now have to fight with a webpage with no phone number to call and have to take time to straighten this out!
In addition, when I called to change my reservation from 5 days to 4, they said they could not as they were booked solid for the weekend...even though I was not asking for another day just removal of one! Had to call corporate as this place just wanted money, which is ALL they want from you. Then everyday we received upgrade emails from a supposedly SOLD OUT hotel! I can assure you, as we came in at all times, including the nice picture of us, "violating the parking rules at 12:59AM", the parking lot had maybe 1/3 of the slots full.
Hotel was okay, but it is completely out of line that you have to pay for parking! Scan a code, and enter a parking app to pay. Huge parking lot, and the only cars there are staying at hotel. So why can't you just add it into the room charge. Bogus!!!
*suburban (almost rural) location next to nothing but a Target and you charge $12/day for parking
*zero water provided in the room and only available for purchase
*Mattresses are a double. No chance that is a queen (verified with Chat GPT :)
This is a Residence Inn(!) Typically the brand stands for the opposite of what I found.
The staff was wonderful very nice hotel in the suburbs
Love this place, love the layout.
