A lovely stay in the Lakes district
Pros:

Nice garden surroundings and large variety of breakfast choices. Room was big enough for a 2 night stay. Pool facilities were very good. Short drive to the town of Bowness on Windermere. Bed was comfortable.

Cons:

No fridge in the room. We stayed on the ground floor and you could hear people walking and talking above you.

Pros:

We arrived after a very hot day walking from Kirby Lonsdale. The really helpful guy on reception brought a carafe of iced water to our room.
Likewise excellent service from the restaurant staff.
Great to have a swim before breakfast.

Pros:

The swimming pool.

Cons:

The rooms and facilities;32 inch tv.(Last saw this in an American motel). The bathtub in our room was leaking. So because its a bath/shower,could only be use as a shower. The "family room"not at all suited for a family with 2 small children,as there are very steep steps between the 2 rooms and no protection to keep young toddlers from falling down the steps.Bottom room poorly ventilated and hot.No fridge in any of our rooms
Poor English breakfast.Kept on running out of food and had to wait in a queue.Nothing interesting in the breakfast, but adequite for an English breakfast.
No buns, cheese or cold meats.Very limited fresh fruit. No continental options. The receiption guy could have been a bit more helpful at the beginning, when we were (obviously)unhappy with the setup of our family and other room. The family room were in an annexe completely separate from our room and from the hotel. The guy at reception said the reason for this was because we booked through a "third party".I did however state that we have a 4 yo and a 1yo in the group.
I feel it is a misrepresentation to catagorise this hotel a 4 Star hotel.I feel it is at most a 3 Star.
It is also quite far from town, with very little to do for teenagers at night.
There was a larger tv in a separate room, which was unbearably hot.
So if you are an older adult and just need to get out of town,I suppose its ok,but Its not value for money(in my opinion),seeing that we paid almost 800 p for the 2 nights

Relaxing enjoyable and food very good. Wine a little pricey.
Pros:

Didn’t get full marks as there is no air conditioning and it was very hot despite fans provided. Good value. Wee suggestion, more chairs and tables outside would enhance the experience.

Cons:

Lack of lift and no offer of help with bags.

Beautiful
Pros:

The property was beautiful, the room, the view, the food just all amazing. The staff were absolutely fantastic and felt like such a homely hotel nothing was too much for the staff to help.

Cons:

The only thing was the jacuzzi bath in our room was bringing out dirt from the jets but the staff sorted it right away…
