Sofitel Barcelona Skipper

It was a short stay in July 2026. Hotel location is very nice - right on the beach (less than 1 min walk from hotel's entrance) and at the same time only 20-25 min walk to Barrio Gotico and La Rambla. Sagrada Familia is around 40 min walk or less than 10 min drive. Check in was fast and efficient. Being Accor Diamond member I was upgraded to City view Suite and it was gorgeous - tastefully decorated living room in Mediterranean while and blue colors and very nice bedroom with super comfy king size bed ( I still consider Sofitel MyBed - the best hotel bedding) and huge en-suite bathroom with separate bathtub and huge walk-in shower (there is also second WC at the entrance to the Suite) . All bath amenities are from Diptyque (special line which you can't buy in shops) and the smell of shampoo/shower gel/liquid soap is just gorgeous. Bathrobe, slippers, and all other amenities you can expect from a 5 star luxury hotel are there. Bedroom also has 2 very spacious wardrobes with glass doors - interesting touch, also room has automatic curtains - which is very convenient and sophisticated AC system. Wooden floors with nice posh carpets are completing the picture. Suite also has two 65'' TVs for quests convenience. Also Suite guests are provided with very nice branded beach bag - which you can use during the stay and take with you if you wish. In terms of public areas - they are all spotlessly clean and very nice appointed and modern classic style. Hotel has 2 generously sized pools - one on the ground floor level and the second one - rooftop. Both pools have plenty of sun lounges/umbrellas and obviously pool towels. Also both are equipped with pool bars where you can also order some food (we ordered burgers and my son, who is burger fan, said that it was probably one of the most delicious burgers he did ever try). Roof top has also wonderful terrace with exceptional sea and city view here you can enjoy drinks - very relaxing. We tried cocktails - and they were very delicious. Breakfast is sumptuous and has huge variety of high quality products. They even managed to prepare for me my favorite 5star hotel morning dessert - strawberries with whipped cream and chocolate sauce ! Hotel has modern well equipped gym (with Technogym equipment), Wifi os available for free throughout the hotel and is of high quality. Service was great! All in all we did enjoy our short stay very much and would definitely recommend this property to those looking for luxurious break by the sea in Barcelona.

Daniel of rooftop El cielo is perfect ! His service is great and he is very kind and benevolent the setting of the rooftop is very pleasant and the cocktails very good! I would come back!

I had breakfast at the hotel this morning and everything was excellent. The hotel itself is wonderful, but what really stood out was the service. Annick looked after me beautifully attentive, friendly and professional. I want to leave this written down because service like hers deserves to be recognised. Thank you!

Checking into the Sofitel was like hitting the lottery !!!! Absolutely amazing staff!!! The consierge Tiogo was outstanding!!! Upon meeting him at check in he went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable!!! We felt like he was an old friend that we haven’t seen in years. Always called us by our names and knew what we wanted before we asked !!! Can’t wait to book our next stay !!! Thank you to the whole staff !!!

The hotel is beautiful with amazing views. The rooms are very well kept and staff are very accommodating. Annick was one of our servers and she was very sweet and helpful the entire time! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Barcelona.

Hotel has been one of my favorite places I have stayed. Not only because they maintain an impeccably clean hotel but also because the people that work there can't do enough for you to make your stay a wonderful experience. The moment you get out of the cab is were the great service begins with the bell hops greeting you and making sure to help you in any way possible. The front desk was wonderful helping us with our early arrival and making sure all their amenities were at our disposal until our room was ready and during breakfast Hanane always made sure my coffee cup never ran dry and greeted us with a smile and gave us exceptional service. Thanks guys for making our stay a great one.

Bravo Barcelona, A gorgeous hotel lobby with friendly staff, dining area clear bright and cool. Our server was attentive and friendly. Food selection was fabulous. Spacious rooms clean and inviting. Over all a wonderful experience.
