Close to the venue we were attending a function at

Cons:

Cottages we booked we unavailable due to water issue which meant we had to stay in the hotel instead. My daughter has food intolerances and we booked the cottages so we could store - prepare food for her. The rooms didn't even have fridges in them so this made eating difficult.

Nice room. Great sleep. Poor breakfast.
Pros:

Location is perfect. Rooms are large and very clean. The modem bathroom was beautiful.

Cons:

I think the breakfast could be improved.
Hot Items. Quality of the bacon and sausage was really good the way that they are presented in casserole pots lacked care. When I visited the hot food counter the beans and mushrooms had to be scrapped up and there were just 2 old fried eggs. No one around to ask about fresh eggs or eggs cooked another way.
Bread section. Just sliced bread. That’s it. No crusty bread or bread rolls available. Very basic.
Good selection of cereals and juice.
Again the fruit salad bowls were empty and the yoghurt selection poor so I did not have any.
I was not late down. I arrived for breakfast at 8:50

I think that more care is required. It felt like a works canteen not. 4 star hotel dining room.

Cleanliness is not up to standard.
Pros:

We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage. The location was great for us stopping over. Flo on reception was lovely. Breakfast was nice.

Cons:

I had to request sheets & pillowcases to make the sofa bedding up to be used, I wouldn’t expect to have to do this and we couldn’t use the bedding without sheets. We found a lot of rubbish under the sofa bed and the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied. The freezer was unusable and needed defrosted. This was very disappointing and made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the cottage. I brought this up with reception and handed them the items we found.
