A lovely room in a beautiful location.
Pros:

Nice large bed with a very comfortable firm mattress.

Cons:

1st night the room was very noisy, it sounded like pipes banging or possibly an air conditioning motor or pump. It started at 2 in the morning and went on till we got up.

Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable. It is a good location if you wish to visit the Gretna Green Blacksmiths Shop.

Cons:

On arrival we were informed that the hotel restaurant would not be open for dinner. This was disappointing.

Great hotel with excellent facilities and staff, had a great time
Pros:

The hotel was set in a great location, surrounded by lovely well kept garden. The rooms and the hotel were very clean and spacious the staff were brilliant and the food excellent, would recommend and stay there again

Shoutout to Alf/Callum!
Pros:

We got married in the Coach House and had our function at Smiths. We had 28 guests and had the most amazing stay!!! We where treated like royalty and cant fault Smiths whatsoever (if we where to be not picky maybe some extra electrical plugs in the Mackie room) lol. Big shoutout to Alf, he was fantastic!!! Thanks so much!

Not worth the £200 for the room no additional facilities for that price not even bottled water in th

Breakfast was low quality products ie sausage and fatty bacon

Cons:

Evening meal……Prawn cocktail was Shrimp the same as being served to the wedding party . The price of Haddock and Chips was over £17 for this price I would expect fresh fish not a piece of frozen fish wich was dry and tasteless

breckfast could do with better type sauages other wise very good all round, the meal for the wedding dinner was excellent
you staff were polit and attentive, complements to your head chief and his team, very enjoyable stay thank you rosemare and stephen bone
