Returning from Scotland
Pros:

As previously the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spotless and breakfast was excellent.

Comfortable bed but tired room
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and it was a good sized room

Cons:

The decoration was tired, carpets had big stains, wallpaper was peeling, the door over the bath didn’t seal so showering caused a puddle and the room smelt of dog. We’re not dog owners so maybe more sensitive to the smell.

Convenient for travel on the A74

Great staff, lovely cottage, definitely recommend.
Pros:

We were over for a wedding taking place nearby and this hotel was in the perfect location.
We stayed across the road in one of their cottages. The staff were very friendly and helpful with both the check in and out a breeze.
The cottage was perfect for us, 2 young kids, so with plenty of space for them to run/crawl around and tire themselves out it was great. Very clean and had all the amenities/facilities we needed for late night bottles and snacks that evening.
Would highly recommend.

Arrived Late but staff helpful and sorted me some food

Cons:

Breakfast Buffet, no "continental" selection cheese and Ham etc., if that's what you would want, plenty of pastries
