Wow! Fabulous stay and great staff! Highly recommended!
Pros:

We had a fabulous stay at Malmaison Liverpool. Checking in and out was smooth - both times by Roxi. She was welcoming and made our stay extra special as it was my birthday (a glass of Prosecco in the bar and a bottle of chilled champagne in our suite!). We stayed in Bella Suite and the room was amazing!
The location of the hotel is great for seeing the sights!
We ate in the restaurant for my birthday dinner - the service by Sam and Mustapha was second to none. They were attentive but not overpowering (hat you can get in some restaurants!). The steaks were mouthwatering!! The happy birthday dessert platter was a lovely surprise.
Thank you all for such a wonderful stay - we loved Liverpool and the Malmasion!

Not Your Average Afternoon Tea
Pros:

Went for afternoon tea for my mum’s birthday after getting a voucher online at a very reasonable price. There was a good selection of teas and coffees. I’m not a fan of sandwiches because I don’t like butter, so this was a great alternative. We had chicken, prawn cocktail and slider burgers, along with a lovely selection of desserts, all beautifully presented.

The young girl serving us was very helpful, friendly and polite, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend it.

Afternoon Tea
Pros:

Took my mum for Prosecco afternoon tea and the whole experience was lovely. The staff were amazing the food was equally as good. A great afternoon.

Then I got home and became quite unwell with stomach cramps and an upset stomach for the majority of the night. I spoke to my mum (who doesn’t live with me) and she was poorly too. Not normally one to assume it’s a restaurants fault, just uncanny we both ate the food and both ended up poorly around the same time. Let the overall experience down.

Very comfortable room and bed/pillows, spotlessly clean and in the best location, very friendly staff and the BEST BREAKFAST EVER!! Fabulous food in the evening too but the breakfast has a fabulous selection of fruit and other options to a Full English. Eggs Benedict to die for. Thank you everyone for a great stay!!! Especially Asia, Roxy, and ALL the restaurant/breakfast staff

Disappointing
Pros:

Rooms dark, beds hard. Hairdryer didn't work. Toilet and rainfall shower continuously puthering water. Asked for it to be fixed, not able to. Offered a towel to put in the shower to deaden the pattering noise! Toilet supposedly fixed but continued to run after the next flush. Hotel full so couldn't move us so had to listen to running water all night. Meal at chez Mal very disappointing. 3 x burgers burnt on 1 side, tasteless and dry. Trout ok but samphire sauce tasted revolting. Hotel allows dogs in the bar. 2 yappy chihuahuas in there, 1 peed on the carpet, owners didn't notice. Informed the waitress, nothing done. Diner came to eat right next to the wet patch, not hygienic. Listened to yapping dogs throughout our very overpriced meal. Not a great stay for £100+ per night. Were eventually refunded for the meal after complaining twice.
