Exceptional service from a team who made everything easy
Pros:

The staff, without question. Nothing I asked for was treated as an inconvenience — directions, arrangements, last-minute requests — all handled quickly, cheerfully, and often with a better suggestion than the one I'd arrived with. They arranged my airport transport, which took a real worry off my hands, and the laundry service was reliable too. That helpfulness was consistent across everyone I dealt with, not one or two individuals having a good day.

The hotel itself is lovely throughout — the decor is tasteful, and the whole place has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. My room was well-sized and equipped with everything I actually needed. The bedside control panel for the AC and the lights was a small thing that made a real difference — no getting up in the dark to adjust anything.

The food was a genuine highlight. Breakfast was excellent quality and diverse enough to eat well every morning without repeating myself. I also ate at Above Sea Level, the rooftop restaurant, and it was a delight — very good food and drinks, a lovely atmosphere, and sweeping views over the city. There was live music on Saturday with excellent musicians and a well-judged set. Worth going up for even if you're not staying.

Cons:

The pre-arrival communication. The same information arrived three times over — through Booking.com, my personal email, and WhatsApp — and it read as automated, mostly pushing pre-arrival extras. The messages didn't render properly, so they were hard to read, and the buttons that were meant to link to further information often didn't work. Overall, it was confusing rather than helpful. This is a systems issue rather than a people one — once I arrived, the team were excellent — but picking one channel and making sure the links work would improve the first impression a lot.

Will definitely com back to stay if I visited Chennai.
Pros:

Really great experience at the hotel. Beautiful terrace restaurant with a view of the city. Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Food was good, not great. Room was excellent with lots of space and did not feel congested.
