The manor is set in beautiful grounds in a quiet location.
The rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade. A lick of paint and new furniture wouldn’t go amiss.

The room was over 30 degrees with two fans on and it was only 22 during the day!

Awful hot room, windowsill covered in bugs, all walls and woodwork scuffed and scraped, room dumped next to all the ventilation plant on the roof so you can hear that whirring away in the room, bed and mattress were rubbish and the room was tiny.
From looking at reviews on google this feedback is quite common.
Perhaps this is why it’s the only hotel I’ve ever been in where the staff don’t ask how your stay was when you check out - they know it’s terrible and are probably tired of being told.
Calling this a four star hotel is insulting at best and misleading at worst.

The rooms were dated things were broken and uncomfortable beds no Aircon and it was roasting
Staff ok on this visit, great food, great building, good valuie for money, what a beautiful place when the sun is shining. a sparkling water in the beer garden enjoying the view. very nice
the staff on the main desk a little short for such a nice venue you expect a smile and warm welcome, the gym closes last entry at 7 which was a shame and there was a prom on so the music kept me awake,.

My stay was on a hot day and the room was uncomfortably hot.
Air conditioning would have been welcome.

Amazing location, scenery, golf course
Rooms were so warm that air con units did nothing. A little bit dated, no usb leads for phone charging. Iron broken.

This is my 2nd visit to the Hotel, because I love it! The Location, The Grounds, The Hitory, The pool, the staff.
With any Hidtorical building, some decoration will look " tired". The Hotel windows, could do with a thorough cleaning.
After a room change . Everything was good . Location excellent
Original Room . Was like a cupboard. Not fit to stay in . Ok for 2 children .
