Would not stay as not private and too far from city
Pros:

Comfy and clean

Cons:

Fluted glass wall between bathroom and beds. Could see and hear everything.
Also clear wall into hallway, did not help with noise and had to put the blind down. Not private otherwise

Location was good. Easy walking distance to variety of eateries and places of interest.

The room was very dark with minimal natural light and very moody lighting which felt cave like.

The absolute go-to accommodation in Carlton or nearby Melbourne CBD.
Pros:

We love staying at this property. The rooms are perfectly fitted out. The beds and bedding are extremely comfortable. Reception staff are exceptional and the dining/sitting area is very relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast here is non-plus, casual, with the best menu options. Perhaps one of the best attributes about this is property is the lighting. So calm and warm throughout. No horrid fluorescent lights. Such a welcome change to most hotel-type accommodation. The restaurant and Bar Lord Lincoln, provide quality wines and exquisite meals.

Cons:

There is absolutely nothing we could dislike about Zagane’s House.

A comfy, charming hotel, definitely worth trying
Pros:

Zagames House is quirky and has a private, quiet vibe in a busy area close to the city. The staff were very cheerful, welcoming and accommodating. My room was beautifully appointed, super comfy, well stocked and cozy. Parking is easy and close to Reception which is helpful to bring in luggage. There’s plenty of choice for eating close by. Breakfast was delicious. I liked their online check in and check out options. I’ll definitely be a returning guest.

Cons:

It’s not a big deal but the see through screen for the bathroom was a surprise. Especially while staying with my adult daughter.
