Pros:

L’hôtel est installé dans une ancienne bâtisse en pierre, rénovée dans un style très écossais et plein de caractère. Les chambres sont assez petites mais confortables. Comme souvent au Royaume-Uni, les fenêtres à guillotine apportent du charme, même si elles restent peu pratiques à l’usage.

Cons:

La salle de bain, en revanche, a été joliment rénovée avec du marbre. Cependant, en l’absence d’écoulement régulier, des odeurs désagréables de canalisation peuvent remonter.

Didn't meet my expectations
Pros:

The hotel looks like either under new management or still developing. The restaurant was closed only for breakfast service, and the room was nice but facing the parking lot, which was not my expectation.

Cons:

The room desperately required a dust vacuum. During breakfast time, the staff ignored us attentionally and went to another British couples customer and brought them their order before us, wow 👌 if this not a raiscism, I dont know what, Bravo management well done chosen your staff and trained them how to be professional.
This small incident always keep stuck in the customer mind and definitely, they will not consider coming back and staying.

Pros:

Room size, Decor, amazing breakfast.
Also accomodated a birthday celebration request.

Cons:

Unfortunately restaurant wasn't open for evening meals & bar food not available every day.
A larger wardrobe would be useful.

Schönes Schloss. Empfehlenswert.
Pros:

Die Lage war gut. Man konnte mit dem Bus ganz einfach ins Zentrum fahren und das Auto im Hotel stehen lassen. Frühstück üppig. Das Personal sehr nett. Badezimmer neu.

Cons:

Altbau: kein Fahrstuhl. Zu teuer für 2 Nächte.

No elevator (for us not an issue)
No A/C - building from the 17th century, that is obvious. Stayed during the second week of June and the weather was great.
On-site restaurant Bonnar was closed (advised it would be open again in July 2026)

Staff were exceptional, breakfast was great, and the room nice. Distance from city center good... easy cab or bus ride...we did both!
