La ubicación, muy buena. Dentro de Palmas hay muchos restaurantes buenos.
Los empleados, muy atentos y amables.

Cons:

Lamentablemente, hubo varias puntos que le juegan en contra al hotel:
No importa el nivel de estrella que sea el hotel, la limpieza no debe ser un obstaculo.
La limpieza en los apartamentos NO era óptima. Los equipo y muebles estaban maltratados, con moho, la humedad hizo estragos en lo gabinetes y las puertas de las duchas, horribles.
Hay muchas formas de mantener en buen estado todo el mobiliario sin tener que ser tan costoso.
Tuve que pedir cambio de apartamento. El que me asignaron era horrible, tenía olor a humedad y no habia armonía entre lo que se presenta en la página del hotel y la realidad.

No debe haber excusa para una buena limpieza y el estado del mobiliario. Toda persona, no importa lo que pague, tiene derecho a estar en un lugar en óptimas condiciones.

Siempre me gusta dar segundas oportunidades, vamos a ver.

Stairs and more stairs
Pros:

The location is about an hour from San Juan airport and great for exploring Puerto Rico’s east coast, though it can be a bit tricky to find at first.

The main challenge was accessibility — there are stairs throughout the property, making it difficult for anyone with mobility needs. I use a cane, and my uncle is in a wheelchair, so getting around was quite difficult, the property definitely does not feel ADA-friendly. I tried to take a more direct path (Employee area) to avoid stairs and was abruptly redirected to the stairs - even though I had a cane and baby carriage..

We also had some difficulty with handicap parking despite having a placard they would not allow us to park in he designated handicap area. One thing that was surprising — we had six people in one room, and it was oddly difficult to get extra blankets, paper towels, and toilet paper. Staff actually wanted to check the room first to confirm we needed them, seemed unnecessary.

Most staff were friendly and helpful, though a few interactions felt a bit less welcoming.

Overall, the area and location are beautiful, but improvements in accessibility and service consistency would make the experience much better.

Park Royal Getaway!
Pros:

Had a wonderful two weeks night stay in May 2026. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were spacious, and clean. It is a perfect spot for relaxation with family and friends. I highly recommend it for a quiet getaway."

Wouldn't book again

The review summary is spot on. This place is TIRED and in dire need of a refresh. Lots of maintenance issues and dated/worn fixtures. We asked for several maintenance fixes which never got done. Also, wasn't clean...trash on the floor whem we checked in and the mid-week service was the bare minimum towels and sheet exchange. No mopping, cleaning, etc...we felt like we always need to wear shoes because the floors were gross. It's more like a 1980s Motel 6 than a resort on a tropical island. 2 pools, but small and crowded, definitely more of a family vibe than a couples feel. Friendly staff, but not very many amenities. Also not close to much...if you want to explore the island, this is not an ideal place...every trip we took was 1-1.5 hours each way. Recommend staying closer/in San Juan. Maybe the price is right for what you get, but we were disappointed and wouldn't book again.
