Great location, rooms a little tired
Pros:

Close to the huge Daning Mall and within a short walk to Line 1 metro Yanchang Road station. The hotel warns guests they may hear some noise as it’s currently undergoing a renovation - we didn’t hear any noise in our room on the 12th floor. Our room was a little dated, the blackout section of the curtains needed replacing. The bathroom had a shower above bath, the main shower head had been disconnected, but the hand held attachment worked fine. Loads of storage and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast - an egg station providing omelettes as well as fried eggs, no queuing for coffee as lots of coffee machines, delicious pastries and a good selection of fresh fruit. The foyer has a massive foyer, however very little seating for guests. Happily recommend this hotel to travellers visiting Shanghai.

Amazing experience in shanghai

communication was okay - staff were friendly and helpful - breakfast host was very friendly i must say!

breakfast options could have been more - (veg / vegan options)
housekeeping cleaned the room but it wasn't up to standard - 3 people in the room and only 2 towels -

Disappointing and a poor representation of the Sheraton brand
Pros:

We stayed on a tour. Shanghai was our last stop. The hotel is fine and looks the part, the room was fine too but it was very disappointing for an International Brand Hotel of this perceived quality that none of the staff could speak any English and the training seemed inadequate.

The worst was the Bar. We all arrived on our last evening and wanted to celebrate with a drink. The poor young lady on the bar had no English language at all and no training on a Bar. She did not even know what Gin was. She tried her best, managed a couple of cocktails and got a shift leader over but she was no better. Several of us gave up and went to bed. I gave up on my 2 Gin & Tonics and had a beer instead (which in fairness to the Shift Leader was offered as complimentary in the light of the 30 minute wait for zero G&T).

My advice would be to have at least on key member of staff being English speaking on each shift. I would also suggest that, although it appeared from our stay that the Bar was hardly used, the person on the Bar should have been trained and given a knowledge of which drinks are which.

أعجبني نظافة الفندق بشكل كبير، كما أن حجم الغرف ممتاز ومريح.
الإفطار متنوع، لكن خياراته محدودة نوعًا ما للعرب والمسلمين ، وأتمنى توسيعها مستقبلًا.
هناك مجمع قريب منه و كذلك مترو

I really liked the cleanliness of the hotel, and the room size was excellent and comfortable.
The breakfast was varied, but the selection was somewhat limited for Arab and Muslims, and I hope to see more options in the future.
There is a shopping mall nearby, as well as a metro station, which makes the location very convenient

الموقع جيد والخدمة بشكل عام مقبولة، لكن كنت أتمنى سرعة أكبر في إجراءات الـ Check-in حيث استغرق وقتًا أطول من المتوقع بعد رحلة سفر طويلة.
كذلك كانت درجة حرارة الغرفة مرتفعة بسبب تشغيل نظام التدفئة المركزي لجميع الغرف، مما جعل الغرفة غير مريحة رغم محاولات التهوية.
أتمنى من إدارة الفندق إعطاء مرونة أكبر في التحكم بدرجة الحرارة وتحسين سرعة إجراءات الاستقبال لتحسين تجربة النزلاء مستقبلاً.
The location is good and the overall service was acceptable. However, I was hoping for a faster check-in process, as it took longer than expected after a long journey.
Additionally, the room was quite warm due to the central heating system being turned on for all rooms, which made the stay uncomfortable despite trying to ventilate the room.
I hope the hotel management can improve the check-in efficiency and allow more flexibility in room temperature control to enhance the guest experience.

Pros:

Good to have a standing shower. Climbing in and out of the bathtub can be a bit challenging especially for elderly people.

Cons:

Don't like the bathtub. Not practical in today environment where the pace of a city does not allow you to soak in the tub, when other places with good massage facilities are readily and modernly available.
