LA UBICACION ES EXTRAORDINARIA

Everything was absolutely wonderful.
The staff were so helpful and kind. The location was ideal, and our room was stunning as was the entire facility.

Na jaren hadden we elkaar beloofd om voor ons 25‑jarig huwelijk terug te keren naar de meest romantische stad van Europa. Praag heeft al een speciale plek in ons hart, en juist daarom wilden we deze keer niet de bekende hoogtepunten aflopen, maar vooral opnieuw de sfeer van de stad in ons opnemen. De zoektocht naar een luxe, maar vooral sfeervol en romantisch hotel bracht ons bij The Dominican — en wat een schot in de roos bleek dat te zijn.

Wanneer je zo lang uitkijkt naar een bijzondere viering, bestaat altijd het risico dat de werkelijkheid niet aan de verwachtingen kan tippen. Maar in dit geval was het tegenovergestelde waar: The Dominican overtrof alles.

De kamer was een oase van rust, met een apart zitgedeelte, een prachtige luxe badkamer (we hadden de waterdruk graag mee naar huis genomen…) en een heerlijke airco die na een dag struinen door de stad echt als een verademing voelde.

De locatie is simpelweg perfect: midden in het oude centrum, maar net buiten de drukte van het plein met de beroemde astronomische klok. Daardoor zit je overal dichtbij, maar kun je je toch terugtrekken in een rustige, elegante omgeving.

Het ontbijtbuffet bood meer dan genoeg keuze, maar het meest indrukwekkend was zonder twijfel de gastvrijheid. Van de nachtportier tot aan de directrice: iedereen was vriendelijk, behulpzaam, flexibel en oprecht betrokken. Het voelde alsof we niet zomaar gasten waren, maar écht welkom. Die warmte en aandacht gaven onze jubileumtrip een extra gouden randje.

Kortom: The Dominican is een absolute aanrader voor wie luxe, romantiek en authentieke gastvrijheid zoekt in het hart van Praag.

Gute Empfehlung, wenn man Innenstadt mag. Personal sehr freundlich, das Essen könnte etwas ausgefeilter sein. Aktuell war das Kartenlesegerät defekt, so dass keine Zimmer Karten ausgestellt werden konnten. Das Personal hat dadurch sehr viel zu tun gehabt und war dennoch sehr freundlich.

The hotel's location was very convenient to reach the old city and close enough to regroup.
The rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and our request was attended to.

It was centrally located, so it couldn’t be better for a pedestrian trying to get to the main old town sites. The breakfast was really good and the manager there, Katerina treated us like royalty. Just as a welcome, they sent us up a plate of cut up fruit and the front desk clerk was exceptional in her helpfulness. Her name is Leisa and she booked us a wonderful classical music concert at a nearby church that was one minute away and that was the most amazing concert ever at Saint Giles Church. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Location was absolutely excellent - ideally get in or out in the early morning or late night hours because otherwise the foot traffic is going to wreck your taxi. Alternatively using bus/train can work but be advised its all cobblestone for blocks on all sides so rolling suitcases is less than ideal.
