Beautiful, historical hotel on the edge of the French Quarter
Pros:

Located on the edge of the French Quarter in a quiet residential street. Lovely historical property. Staff were very responsive over messages and on the phone when we did have a query, including at unsociable hours. The rooms are quiet despite the hardwood floors and age of the property, which was a nice surprise.

Cons:

The air conditioning was working pretty hard to keep the room cool in the Louisiana heat, but in an older building this is understandable.

Very comfortable, clean, great location, beautiful building with the pool being an added bonus!
Pros:

The apartment we rented was perfect. Massive comfortable bed with top quality linen. Everything in the apartment was immaculately clean. A peaceful quiet location only 10 minutes walk from the French Quarter. The pool was lovely and very much needed with the heat in New Orleans. A 10/10 stay for us and I'd highly recommend staying at Rathbone Mansions.

Cons:

The only comment I'd make is that the pool furniture needs updating.

Absolutely perfect!!
Pros:

I absolutely fell in love with this property as soon as I got there! It is extremely New Orleans! People running the property are very friendly, and respond to needs extremely quickly!

Cons:

The only thing that I didn’t like is that the Jacuzzi is currently down. I was looking forward to soaking in the hot tub. But I will definitely be rebooking the next time I go to New Orleans!

Pros:

La ubicación (cerca de Frenchmen St y a un paseo del French Quarter), la decoración y la cama king size. El aire acondicionado era antiguo pero funcionó bien.

Cons:

Deberían poner más toallas si el alojamiento es superior a dos días.

Wir hatten eine gute Zeit als Familie in einer Unterkunft, die wie die Stadt ist: bunt, individuell und freundlich!
Pros:

Die beiden altehrwürdigen Kolonialhäuser liegen etwas außerhalb des French Quarters, welches, ebenso wie Frenchman Street, gut zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Die Räume sind authentisch gestaltet und der Pool bietet eine gute Möglichkeit zum Erholen. Die langen Öffnungszeiten haben uns begeistert. Hier war die Benutzung sowohl früh morgens als auch spät abends möglich.

Cons:

Leider war unser Zimmer schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Um den angestrebten Standard zu halten, müsste renoviert werden und beispielsweise Matratzen ausgetauscht werden.

Perfect little hotel with a lot of charme for our short trip
Pros:

My partner and I had a really lovely time in New Orleans and Rathbone Mansions was perfect for what we needed in a hotel. The room was a decent size, and clean with air conditioning. We also much enjoyed the pool area as it was exceptionally hot and muggy while we were there. The location was ideal as it was walking distance to the French Quarter but still far enough to have some peace and quiet in between tourist activities.

Cons:

The room didn't really offer much wardrobe space to store away clothes. Since we only stayed a couple of nights that was no drama for us but had we stayed longer, living out of the suitcase might have become a bit more tedious. It was also a bit of a shame that the hotel didn't offer any snacks or beverages for purchase, so it was a matter of planning ahead and buying stuff at the corner shop up the road to store in the fridge available in the hotel room. Again, no drama but would have been a bit more convenient.

Pros:

The staff was lovely. The facilities were excellent. I was traveling with my dog and they gave me a room with garden accesss. It's less than a 10 minute walk from Frenchman street. Far enough from the noise for a good night's rest, close enough to walk. Right next to thr central train lines and Louis Armstrong park.

Quiet, comfortable and restful getaway for my partner and I.
