Location, staff, and room were great.
Common areas and elevators were a little shabby. Breakfast was ok, but I suspect powdered eggs, which don’t taste great, and potatoes were undercooked some days.
We were in Sacramento for my nieces graduation from law school. We picked the Residence Inn because of the location to the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium (an easy 2 block walk) and because there were 3 of us and there was a sofa bed (they do not have double double OR queen queen rooms).
Finding the parking garage for the hotel was a little weird because we passed by the entrance to it the first time but once in, it was an easy walk across the drive area to the front doors. Beware…the majority of the parking spots in the garage seemed like they were mostly for compact car and we had an SUV so we had to go all the way to the 5th floor in order to get a spot that the SUV would fit in okay.
Check in was easy and we went up to our room. The room was a good size: a kitchen, living room, desk space, bedroom and bathroom with the sink on the outside, which was helpful! My mom and I were going to share the king bed and my stepfather was going to sleep on the sofa bed and that was when we realized that there was no air vent on the bedroom side, only on the living room side. Being that my stepfather is always cold, it was inconvenient to have to deal with the air on the one side and us not getting any getting air. I did call down for a fan and Housekeeping was able to bring me a box fan to use. Thank goodness because it did get warm on the in the evening and was hard to sleep!
I would have to suggest that in the bathroom where the shower and toilet are, some kind of shelves or other storage be added as there was really nowhere to set anything down. The towels were a great size and not those tiny little one you usually get most places!
Breakfast was okay…they had a good assortment of stuff, including pancakes and oatmeal. Nothing cooked to order but if you are hungry, it will tide you over!
The weird thing was we were at the hotel after graduation and wanted to order some drinks then sit in the lobby sitting lounge…the bartender told us that since the bar was not a part of the hotel, we would be unable to do that, which made NO sense because the night before there were a ton of people, with drinks AND food, sitting in the lobby lounge and not in the bar! We ended up having to buy bottle of water, bottle of soda and some chips, which was again, weird!
The staff was super helpful and very friendly! They did do whatever they could do to make our stay a good one!
We liked the location and the room.
For price good place to stay in Sacramento
I didn’t like that some of the areas in the shower were not clean
Clean, friendly, free breakfast, central location
Everything was good
On booking we weren’t told on website or via booking agent that rooms serviced weekly. Or on check in. $50USD per day held against or credit card we weren’t told about. Plastic plates and cutlery at breakfast cafe/serving area. Very cafeteria like. Not inviting. Felt like a school cafeteria but worse. Rooms large, only positive,
I had to move out of my apartment temporarily due to water damage from a neighbors drain pipe. I stayed for 3 weeks. Aramis and Jeff were so helpful. I spoke with Jeff the day I found out I was going to need to move and Jeff showed me the three different types of rooms they offered. I ended up choosing the two bedroom due to the full kitchen including oven. The rooms were perfect. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything someone traveling would need. I will choose Marriott for all my future stays. They go above and beyond. Thank you!
Habitación amplia con heladera cocina tostadora y cafetera. Con platos cubiertos vasos tazas y demás. Completo.
Cama cómoda para mi gusto. Cantidad de toallas suficientes para tres personas.
Estacionamiento al lado del hotel.
Desayuno podría ser mejor, incluir jamón queso jugos naturales.
It was a good standard buffet similar to other hotels so nothing stood out but the person working there was great
The room had some carpet stains but otherwise very clean
Good bed
Closet weird, no place to hang a dress. No walk in shower. No ice machine, had to wait for ice to be brought to room. No maid service. Sign said leave towels on floor if you want clean towels but no one cleaned the room so had to wait for more towels.
The breakfast was okay but could have gone a little longer. The room was spacious and well laid out. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. I was impressed with the kitchenette set up.
The selection of tea was horrible. Why was there no herbal tea offered in the room just Lipton decaffeinated. The toilet paper holder was loose on the wall so the toilet paper kept sliding off. These discrepancies were odd because of how nice everything else was.
Close to the Convention Center.
Clean, breakfast was delicious
Couldn't hook my firestick to hotel wifi
