Etna Hotel

Hotel Etna was very nice, for a hotel that was very much out in the sticks. The train station is a 30 minute walk (use google maps, because Apple Maps has a mind of its own and takes you the scenic route which we learned the hard way). The swimming pool is very nice, enough sunbeds and places to sit. Hotel staff are very very nice and accommodating. Big shoutout to the reception staff who are very helpful with bookings taxi’s, trips and advising on things. The only negative point we experienced was the restaurant.
The food absolutely stunning, the service however is slow, mainly due to there only being 1 waitress; who bless her tries her best, but she’s clearly being stretched too far. On our first night, we went to dinner at 7pm and didn’t leave untill 9:15pm and we waited aroind an hour to get the waitress attention to order dessert because she was overworked. It also seemed that the managerial staff (I assume) were not helping the waitress…only when the guests were Italian themselves or clearly friends of theirs.
The breakfast was also good, a bit minimal but it did the job. Your standard continental. The only hot options was boiled or scrambled eggs. Pastries were very nice and lots of home made things like jams and cakes.
The rooms were very nice, very spacious with enough storage space. A little mini fridge with a fully stocked mini bar (extra cost) and the cleaners are good.

Mooie en centrale locatie voor uitstap naar Etna en Taormina . Mooi en groot zwembad met mooi uitzicht op de Etna. Lekker en gezellig restaurant bij hotel en vriendelijk personeel.

La cura del verde

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff - really went out of their way to help us! The room was beautiful, very clean and with a super comfortable bed, quite possibly the best night's sleep that I have ever had in a hotel. The food in the restaurant was good, and reasonably priced, served in the beautiful courtyard, surrounded by plants and flowers. The pool was clean and well maintained and never too crowded.
The town of Giarre has some great places to eat, although without a car, the walk is a little hair-raising at times. The train station is within walking distance and allows you to access Taormina and Siracusa easily and cheaply. The hotel also has tours which are easy to arrange, and has links to an amazing local taxi firm, who consistently went over and beyond to help.
All in all, I would recommend the hotel; we had a great experience and loved every minute!

We have stayed at this hotel every summer for the past four years, and it has become one of our favorite places in Sicily. The property offers stunning views of Mount Etna and a wonderful heated pool that gives it a true resort-like feel.
The rooms are spacious, very clean, air-conditioned, and perfect for our family of five (2 adults and 3 teenagers). The location is ideal for exploring the region, with Mount Etna, Taormina, Etnaland, and the beautiful gorges all within less than an hour's drive.
The buffet breakfast included is very good, and the staff are always warm, attentive, and welcoming. While a car is recommended due to limited dining options nearby, we were delighted to find a fantastic gluten-free bakery within walking distance.
Highly recommended for couples and families looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful Sicilian views and easy access to the area's top attractions. We look forward to returning again next year! 🌋☀️🏊‍♀️

La vue de la.chambre, le.petit déjeuner, le.diner. la tranquillité de l’endroit et la piscine.

La struttura è molto bella e curata e’ molto affascinante. Bella anche la piscina con vista Etna. La stanza è ampia è dotata di tutto il necessario. Colazione abbondante e varia con dolci e yogurt fatti in casa

Bazén velký a čistý.

Ein altes Gehöft mit mehreren Gebäuden. Toll renoviert und mit Liebe passend zum Ambiente eingerichtet. Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend gut sortiert und das Abendessen im dazugehörigen Restaurant mit Blick auf den rauchenden Ätna war echt lecker. Da waren wir sicher nicht das letzte Mal...

Vaizdas į Etną superinis.

Prima plek met prachtig uitzicht op de Etna. Hartelijke ontvangst. Lekker zwembad met buitenbar. Kamer ook uitstekend, met eigen terrasje incl. parasol. We vertrokken te vroeg om te ontbijten, maar het personeel was al bezig met het opstellen van het buffet en maakte speciaal voor ons alvast een cappuccino klaar.

Property was great and relaxing

Lovely quiet hotel with a cute cat and excellent food and service.
Just outside the town, 20 mins walk to station (walk is flat and easy and pavement of sorts most of the way) but not the prettiest of walks. We didn’t have a car and there is not much in Giarre. Volcano pub is nice for a meal but we mostly ate at the hotel which was top quality! Hotel arranged a trip to Etna ( to 1700 metres) was a nice day. Hired bikes and cycled to Naxos beach. Pool area and views of Etna were nice. Overall enjoyed.

Séjour exceptionnel ! Le gérant est d’une gentillesse incroyable, toujours disponible et très arrangeant, il nous a beaucoup aidés face à quelques imprévus, ce qui a vraiment fait la différence.

Petit déjeuner délicieux avec beaucoup de fait maison, un vrai régal. Chambre impeccable et surtout une vue magnifique sur l’Etna. Des activités sont également proposées, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable.
