The staff were very nice and the breakfast was great.
Very run down, dead flies on window ledges. Rotton window frames. Over grown gardens and paint peeling outside. No net curtains at the window and some curtains were falling off. Whole hotel needed hoovering. Once a lovely hotel, now just very tired and in need of renovation.
Old hotel that was probably a popular place back in 90's/00's. Not a lot has been invested since though which is a shame.
On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the bed was comfy. All I needed for my business trip.
Nice wooded grounds.
Good access to wellness centre.
Shabby. Could do with a clean in places. Bathroom window grime and frayed curtains and carpets.
Great value for money, friendly and polite staff.
Building is a bit tired but its good value for money, clean and tidy.
Staff were very friendly.
Building is in need of upgrade but this is reflected in the price.
The staff were friendly and efficient, the cooked breakfast was very good.
Nothing
Leisure complex was modern and well equipped.
Staff very professional, friendly and only too pleased to assist
Clean room, comfortable bed.
Very tired old building. Shame, as it was once a beautiful, grand and imposing country house. Peeling paint, rotten windows, dated decor, noisy saniflow plumbing, curtain rails ready to fall off. Room very small. Rickedy fan with a broken leg for cooling the room. Stains on carpets. Once beautful gardens poorly maintained.
Excellent rooms and good facilities. very good breakfast andd friendly staff.
Small fridge in room would have been better.
location was good.
room was above an events space that was in use until approximately 10:30pm. users left promptly, but i had a very early start the next day, so this was not ideal.
used the spa once during my stay. several further attempts were unsuccessful as no staff were ever present at the front desk after 10-15 minutes of waiting.
almost never anyone at the reception desk.

Awful breakfast
Nice location just outside Shifnal, a surprisingly nice little town with a few really nice pubs
Old and tired, been left to run to ruin. Looks like someone’s had a go at getting it going bit without actually investing in what’s needed.
Could be such a lovely place as well. But the place is literally falling to bits.
Windows don’t open or close.
Paint is stripping off inside and out.
The shower in my room sprayed more over the curtain than into the shower.
The spa and pool needs major investment. If it rains, the pool will fill up because the glass roof lights have no seals and are open to the environment. That pool is a goldmine but they have to invest money.
Breakfast was a disaster - I waited half an hour to be given a hot drink. The staff started shouting at each other in the kitchen which we could all hear, and they got stressed if you asked them where your breakfast was.
Within an hour of first mornings breakfast I was on the toilet, eye of a needle.
I have no idea if it was the coffee or the food, but something was absolutely not right.
I could never get served in the bar. There was literally never anyone on duty. I waited at reception once for 15 minutes and not a sign of anyone.
Such a shame as from here we explored Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, and there’s some fab terrain if you’re into cycling. But of the owners of this place are serious, they need to invest money.
The room was ok, but no fridge. They left bottled water out when it was 30c so it just got hot. Install a fridge in each room, it costs peanuts. And redecorate the bathroom.
There were loose screws around the pool and hot tub. Stand on one of them and you’re visiting Telford General. And believe me you don’t want to visit Telford for anything, what a dump.
Such a shame as the potential is there. Lovely building and decent location. But it could be MASSIVELY better.
