The spa pool and breakfast. The staff were lovely.
The grounds and rooms could do with a spruce up.
Only one lamp and that didn't work, reported it to staff.
The staff are so polite and helpful.
The whole place while a little tatty is immaculately clean
The sauna jacuzzi and swimming pool are fabulous
Lovely old building great staff fantastic price
Definitely more shabby than chique,
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean,
Some great touches , but needs investment.
Fix the front door.
Replace the double glazing where it's blown.
The location was nice
The state of the place , peeling walls , carpets lifting no air con. Smell in hallways , no air con , jacuzzi wasnt accessible
Cook to order breakfast, Fantastic. Nice bar and Restaurant. All the staff are very helpful and happy. The grounds look good and there is a fitness suit with pool.
The Hotel looks a bit tired. The hotel is being updated and has shown some signs of improvement since my last stay.
Excellent Leisure club facilities, perfect for a relaxing stay. Staff were all incredibly friendly and the setting of the hotel is stunning. While some parts of the hotel are a little dated, the value for money and overall experience was fantastic.
The room was very warm and the window only opened a little, but there was a fan provided in the room, so sleeping was still comfortable throughout our stay.
Excellent
Peaceful location. Beautiful views of grounds. Lots of original features. Very friendly and helpful staff. Made to feel very welcome. Relaxing environment. Very good bar food. Excellent cooked breakfast ordered at table with crisp linen and beautifully laid tables. Clean rooms and communal areas. Lots of hot water for showers. We had a suite which was huge and included a large loung and a bedroom with a 4 0 poster bed.
Having to leave at end of stay.
Lovely open space, quiet and calming, staff were polite, very helpful and quick to assist. Even in major heat they were doing all they could to keep it cool. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Facilities were great too. We look forwards to visiting again.
Excellent staff and customer service. Great pool.
Fan jn rokm as no aircon and bottled water.
The tiny tiny room in annexe, very scary dark brown walls and 1970's style flowery border. Room was in need of a refurbish but otherwise ok for a short stay.
Lovely breakfast and staff.
Property very tired.
Good setting ,helpful friendly staff, allowed us to book in early as my husband was unwell. Fitness facilities and swimming pool available
Our room was hot and near the kitchen ventilation. The hotel needs updating
Location close to the event I was attending.
Old and tired decor
Old mattress
Shower water flow little better than a dripping tap
Room not made up after 1st night
Bathroom light wouldn't switch off (electrical problem)
Food was bizarre - fries served heavily peppered!
Hotel great old building and grounds
Could not close all 3 windows in room 20 looked like they where screwed up open
It was situated near the village of Shifnal but 6 minutes on train to Telford centre
Rooms and communal area are very dated. No air-con but didn't expect any in a period property.
Very friendly welcome at reception
Câlin (gentleman who lives on site) was most helpful and very friendly
I wanted a brochure for possible wedding but they didn’t have any to give me. Such a shame.
