Cleanliness of room. Floor was not vacuumed. Bed was old, dirty and uncomfortable.
Friendly staff.
Parking was tight
This was my first time in Gainesville, Florida and my first time staying at a Hilton Garden Inn. I would like to give a shoutout to Traz, who was the desk clerk for most of my brief but throughly enjoyable stay. As soon as he heard this was my first time in the area, he gave me a ticket for a complimentary breakfast buffet - a very pleasant surprise which, after a tiring plane trip, lifted my sagging spirits.
Traz was professional, positive, helpful, and effective. I can’t speak for the other hotel staff, but I can say that if you are lucky enough to have Traz as your desk clerk, you’ll be in very good hands.
Everything will come back 🙏
Super clean 👌
Person didn’t know bar drinks
Person for restrauant was not trained
Traz was incredible and delivered amazing customer service. I had a few issues pop up and Traz was there to not only deliver a smile but to offer assistance and make the stay enjoyable. Thank you Traz.
Clean and friendly staff
I traveled 15 hours with just my dog from Fort Worth to Gainesville just to spend the night and then leave the next morning to finish my trip. I arrived tired, impatient and hungry. Traz was super sweet, kind and helpful. He made the check-in process super easy. I went to my room dropped my bag came back down and ordered a chicken Caesar salad and some wine. I walked the dog while I was waiting for it to be prepared, picked up my food and went back to the room. Overall for such a short trip and as tired and hungry as I was, it was a great experience.
I had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville! The rooms were exceptionally clean, smelled fresh, and were very nice and comfortable. Everything was well-maintained and made for a relaxing stay.
The highlight of my experience was Traz at check-in. Traz was welcoming, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was excellent. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about creating a great guest experience, and Traz absolutely delivered.
Between the clean, inviting rooms and the outstanding customer service, I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!
It was tucked away, very peaceful
The staff is great, the bartender had an attitude, but in the end was ok, can't mix drinks good, but trys hard, the breakfast was soso, and the chef at night for dinner, Bobby was super nice and friendly, I'm partially blind so he read the menu to to and treated me great, id definitely recommend this hotel, great staff, good parking and the rooms are great
Clean. Smelled clean. Great accommodations!
Pillows were not comfortable
Although the room was lovely, the restaurant was beyond disappointing. For our lite dinner, the menu was very cheaply printed on stapled paper. They had a jalapeño margarita listed but not only did our waiter/bartender not know of it, he had never seen it listed on their menu. They did not have the ingredients to make one. This morning, we had no idea the breakfast protocol. We found a person at the counter and she asked if we would be ordering from the menu or having the buffet. We ordered from the menu. It said that there were 2eggs, choice of meat, and potatoes. I ordered eggs over easy (they were terribly over cooked). No potatoes. I had to find the server and ask. “We are out of potatoes.” My husband’s 3 egg omelet (were the quail eggs??) was lacking much by way of a filling. The coffee was good, at least. It just seems to me that if you were the manager, you would want your printed papers looking professionally printed. You would expect your chef to send someone across the side street to Sam’s Club to buy a large bag of potatoes. You would also expect said chef to not send out a pathetic looking plate.
That aside, the people at the checkout/check in counter were professional and courteous. The hotel was well decorated and clean. I hope they can fix their issues, as we are avid Hilton customers.
