Location to train and bus stations were only real positive

Sometimes AI doesn’t do what you want…..but I’ll put this down to operator error in this case.

Staying for 2 nights in Catania, first night arriving late, second day we travelled to Syracuse and we were off the next day so we wanted somewhere close to the train and bus stations. We got it!

Other than the stations, the rest wasn’t great unfortunately. Very nice people working there but this part of town is not nice, didn’t feel safe at night and a good 25 minute walk to Catania centre which is interesting.

The rooms were something from the 70’s, the continental breakfast was very basic and bed itself was as hard as a rock.

I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again. Probably wouldn’t return to Catania.

Pros:

Sa localisation à la fois proche de la gare et du centre ville.

Cons:

À la fois très mauvaise insonorisation et manque de discrétion absolue du personnel de ménage. Le personnel de ménage qui étaient bruyant avant même 8h du matin et ne s’arrêtant pas malgré des remarques faites à plusieurs reprises, nous obligeant à nous lever du lit de nombreuses fois. Nous ne pouvions pas ouvrir les volets et fenêtres sur la cour intérieure car il y avait un vis à vis trop important avec les chambres d’en face et des rideaux qui ne marchaient pas.

Bardzo dobre miejsce na aktywny wypad ok. 7 dni
Pros:

Obsluga byla bardzo mila, problem z prysznicem zalatwili bardzo szybko. W pokoju byl balkon chociaz maly. Lokalizacja do zwiedzania wyspy bardzo dobra. Do dworca kolejowego ok 100 m, ciut dalej do dworca autobusowego. Sniadania dobre chociaz monotonne . Jest winda.

Cons:

Nizbyt ciekawa okolica.

Kann ich auf keinen Fall empfehlen!
Pros:

Die Reinigungskraft und der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Entscheidungen wurden von einer Person (vermutlich dem Manager) am Telefon getroffen und von genannten Personen lediglich übermittelt.

Cons:

Wir haben sofort nach Ankunft storniert. Das Zimmer entsprach nicht den Abbildungen. Es roch modrig, am Fenster war Schimmel und auch im Raum konnten an der Tapete schon erste Anzeichen von Schimmel erkannt werden. Das Bad war unsauber und voller Kalk. Die Toilette roch nach Fäkalien. Dürftige Ausstattung. Auch im Flur war der gesamte Teppich voller Flecken und roch modrig. Nachdem wir uns beschwert hatten wurde zunächst gesagt, es gäbe kein alternatives Zimmer. Nach mehreren Diskussionen wurde uns einen Tag später ein alternatives Zimmer, im Verlauf sofort ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Aufgrund des insgesamt unhygienischen Gebäudes wurde dies unsererseits abgelehnt.

A very good place to stay, just a 5–8 minute walk from the bus station. The location is excellent, with the city center and many great restaurants nearby. The breakfast was tasty and served in a beautiful garden. The rooms are arranged like a little labyrinth, which gave the place a unique and charming atmosphere. The staff were professional, friendly, and always helpful. The reception is open 24/7, making check-in and assistance very convenient. Overall, a great stay that I would happily recommend.

The electrical outlets seemed to provide low power, so my electronic devices charged much more slowly than expected.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’Hotel Villa Romeo. Le personnel est extrêmement accueillant, chaleureux et toujours aux petits soins, ce qui nous a fait nous sentir comme à la maison dès notre arrivée.

L’hôtel est idéalement situé pour découvrir Catane. Nous avons pu visiter le centre historique à pied sans avoir à nous soucier de la voiture, un vrai confort dans cette ville.

Nous avons également adoré la magnifique cour intérieure, véritable havre de paix. C’est un endroit exceptionnel, plein de charme, où il est très agréable de prendre le petit-déjeuner. Celui-ci est d’ailleurs excellent, varié et composé de produits de qualité.

La chambre était confortable, l’ambiance paisible malgré la proximité du centre, et l’ensemble du séjour a été parfait. Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans la moindre hésitation à tous ceux qui souhaitent découvrir Catane dans les meilleures conditions.

Für eine Nacht o.k., Lage sehr praktisch
Pros:

Die Lage war sehr gut - direkt bei zwei Busbahnhöfen (Hauptbahnhof und "Fernbusse"), das Zimmer war ruhig und das historische Gebäude mit den Innenhöfen schön. Ich konnte mein Gepäck auch kostenlos lagern, was sehr praktisch war, da ich einen ungeplanten Zusatztag (Flugausfälle) in Catania hatte und erst Abends mit dem Fernbus nach Palermo zum Flughafen fahren konnte.
Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, einer der Mitarbeiter konnte sogar recht gut deutsch.
Von meinem Zimmer aus konnte ich über eine Tür direkt in einen kleinen Innenhof gelangen, der beschattet war. Eine schöne Stimmung mit einigem Grün.
Zum Stadtzentrum gelangt man nach knapp 20 Minuten Gehzeit, was trotz Hitze für mich in Ordnung war.

Cons:

Das Einzelzimmer war wirklich sehr klein und eher eine "Abstellkammer". Kein Platz für einen Stuhl, meine Reisetasche konnte ich nicht einmal richtig öffnen. Ein sehr schmales Bett, zum Glück bin ich klein. Für eine Nacht zwar o.k., aber für mehrere Nächte würde ich dieses Zimmer nicht nutzen wollen...
