The Eagle Inn was a Beautiful Vacation
Pros:

Our time at the Eagle Inn was just wonderful. We enjoyed the staff interactions, kindness and service. The property is beautiful Santa Barbara style, close to the beach and close to the shopping area downtown. The breakfasts were excellent and the coffee and snacks were abundant. Parking was in their private lot and not on the street which was important for us. It was also very quiet for being an “in town” property. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was! We hope to return again in the near future!

Great romantic weekend spot!
Pros:

My wife and I absolutely loved The Eagle Inn and would recommend it highly. We planned a quick overnight trip just to get out of town (Santa Barbara is one of our favorite getaway spots). The Inn is in a very quiet neighborhood just a couple of blocks from the beach. Room was very comfortable with an updated bathroom. The people were friendly and helpful. I only wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back

Top Lage in Santa Barbara.
Sehr freundliches Personal am Empfang, beim Frühstück und auch die Zimmermädchen.

Gutes Frühstück inclusive auf wunderschöner Terrasse. Man kann sich kostenlos Fahrräder leihen. Kostenloser bewachter Parkplatz hinter dem Hotel.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber.

we paid almost $500 for a noisy room where we heard every footstep from the room above as well as outside our door.The breakfast was in edible.
The pillows were like bricks and the bed was very uncomfortable.
I would never stay in this hotel again even f it was $100 a night!

Cons:

The bathroom was ancient.
Decent mattress and pillows would help.
Edible food for breakfast.
I would put a rug on all floors so that the footsteps and voices are muffled

Staff made the difference
Pros:

Staff was awesome. I believe that this is why hotel has such a high ranking. Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant. Person checking us in was very courteous and accomodating. Breakfast was awesome. Restaurant area very clean and charming. Big room with two queen beds. Staff was great. Slightly older facility.

Cons:

On 1st floor and there was noise above. We should have closed an extra door that blocked noise from lobby. Realized that we should have shut door sooner. Room was a little cold all night & heater wouldn't come on.

Cons:

Facilities and rooms feel very dated. The hotel is massively overpriced with price comparable to nice 4-5 star hotels but in reality it is a very average 3 star bed abd breakfast. Breakfast was poor - very limited choice and average food. Value for money is poor.
