South Gap Hotel

This place is not only BEAUTIFUL but it’s smack in the middle of everything!!! Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance! There was a food truck steps away from the hotel ( The Gap Burger) they cook your food to order and it’s delicious!! There is also a restaurant on site which is also delicious! We went to The Dive Bar and The Cove Friday and Saturday and had an absolutely BLAST!! The staff were all super friendly and ensured we had a wonderful stay! There is also security on site, we never felt unsafe! I’d highly recommend this hotel, as it offers gorgeous views, great food and convenience!!! Book it!!

This was our first visit to Barbados and chose this hotel for its location on the gap and its sea front location.
It is ideally located with a selection of bars and restaurants within a short walk, the hotel is clean and staff are constantly making sure it remains spotless. From our first interaction with reception to our last day all of the staff were very polite and friendly especially the bar staff Amaul, Nick, Jacqausie and Shah.
The rooms were comfortable with aircon provided free of charge as was a safe, the beds were comfortable and the room was serviced daily even after we had left a bit later than normal.
The sunbeds were so comfortable and with the parasols being moveable it was never a problem finding some shade, pool towels provided on a daily basis and never struggled with having no bed.
The food was always tasty and hot with a good selection and options throughout the day.
We will be back to the South Gap

Second time South Gap hotel. Absolutely love it. The room we had was on the pool deck looking over the ocean.
All the staff are lovely. The lady checking us in asked if we were celebrating anything special. They left balloons and a card in the room for my husband’s birthday.
We also received a gift as it was our second visit. The hotel is in a great position near everything. The restaurant /bar is open all day and has a nice menu. The lady who looked after our room deserves a special mention as she was so nice.
Can’t wait for next year already booked.

My wife and I have just spent 2 wonderful weeks at South Gap Hotel. We were return visitors having stayed there at Easter 2025 . Not only did we receive a discounted rate for the return visit but there was also a gift bag waiting for us.
This hotel is an absolute gem! It has only 34 rooms so there is no sense of overcrowding and there are always sunbeds available. The decking area is very smart and the pool is a perfect size. We requested the same room as last year and it was no problem at all to secure it. Our room was on the same level as the deck and restaurant areas but felt very secluded. The apartment was spacious with a kitchen area and a large walk in shower. The bedroom was equipped with a very efficient air conditioning unit and the kitchen area had a ceiling fan. At no time did we ever feel too hot. The standard of cleaning was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic housekeeping team. It was great to see the lovely Lana again!
The restaurant and bar area is very spacious and clean and all the team were very polite and helpful. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was amazing , especially the cou-cou and flying fish.
The reception team are also fantastic and always happy to help out with anything such as booking a taxi or a restaurant table.
The location is perfect for venturing out in the Gap where there are lots of good bars and restaurants. The Gap is vibrant but at no time did we hear any noise whilst in the Hotel. The main road is a very short walk away to get on a bus or a ZR and Massy’s supermarket is about a ten minute walk should you want any provisions.
All in all this hotel is a real winner and we would never consider staying anywhere else when we return. We felt well looked after and well loved by all the wonderful staff.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay after staying in New York and needing some peace and relaxation, the South Gap did not disappoint. The accomodation was lovely, clean and fresh, great bathroom and amazing sea views. The pool area was so clean, the bar served gorgeous food and we were made to feel so welcome. From the ladies on reception, the cleaning staff and the restaurant/bar staff could not do enough for you. Well worth a visit.

This is an excellent small (~36 rooms) hotel right on the strip in St Lawrence. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and are serviced every day. The food here is very good being both of great taste and also cheap! We had a special anniversary here and they did a lovely surprise with a bottle of Prosecco and a lovely card.
The view from the room is breathtaking and I’m sure we’ll be back!
The staff are all lovely and welcoming. I hesitate to single a member of staff out but Nick went above and beyond on one of our nights there. Thanks to all the South Gap Hotel staff - it’s a pleasure to stay here!

The location, facilities and the service provided by the staff are all superb. The kitchenette facilities are way more than you’d find in 90% of properties. Seriously impressive!!

The view from our balcony was stunning, and listening to the waves from there was dreamy!

Location is fab, bars, restaurants, shops and beaches all within easy walking distance. Local buses close by and taxis are easily available.
Rooms are well equipped and cleaned daily to a high standard as are communal areas.
Staff are helpful and polite, will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.
On site bar and restaurant are great. Food and drink is good quality and plentiful while being good value for the area.
Second visit to South Gap and would happily return again. Highly recommend.
