Our room had a beautiful volcano view; overall good quality food at the restaurant; great hot springs experience; and very friendly staff.
The food & beverage prices are very high.
Emplacement magnifique niché dans jungle, en face du volcan Arenal
Bungalows privatifs très bien lovés dans nature
Jaccuzzis magnifiques cachés dans jungle
Le paradis!
The hotel is beautiful and very relaxing, especially the hot springs, which were the highlight of our stay. The atmosphere is peaceful and surrounded by nature. The breakfast restaurant has a breathtaking view, and the food was delicious with a good variety of options. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax. One of the staff members was especially kind and went out of his way to help us spot a sloth in the surrounding trees, which made our stay even more memorable. I truly appreciated his kindness and hospitality. I would definitely stay here again.
Nothing. Everything was excellent.
Cadre spectaculaire, vegetation luxuriante, parcour thermale au top, superbe salle avec vue pour petit dejeuner copieux, chambre top
Tout etait parfait
The location was great, hot springs, breakfast delicious and service was top notch.
The rooms feel dated and the bathrooms could also get an upgraded look, the dark soiled plant in the middle of the bathroom is too much I think.
la rotulacion es un poco confusa, creo que deben revisar las diferencias entre la rotulacion en las calles del hotel y los mapas que entregan
Hot springs, very comfortable rooms, good breakfast
Quite expensive but worth it
Family of 5 in joining rooms, great (huge) rooms and fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Location for Arenal mountain walks and white water rafting was perfect. Also had frog walk and chocolate tours nearby. Their own thermal springs meant you didn’t have to book anywhere else. Would highly recommend.
Our entire experience from Isabel with the reservations team, the airport transfer with Freddy, very responsive WhatsApp messaging with the concierge team (Angelica, Isabel and Alison) excellent food quality and service in the restaurant and the poolside (Gaudy, Luis), cleaning service from Miriam and the nightly turn down team, the hot springs, chateau private pool, gorgeous landscaping, tour bookings …it was a wholly positive experience! Our family of four felt welcomed, safe and comfortable.
Fortuna is a gem in Costa Rica and the people are very proud of their town. The views of the volcano were awe-inspiring.
We intend to return again soon for a couples trip next time.
As it’s a rainy country, our only suggestions is for exhaust fans to be installed in the bathrooms to allow for better ventilation.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
This resort is set among some spectacular flora. The rooms were clean and comfortable and nestled in quiet, natural surroundings. We began each day with a fabulous breakfast buffet and enjoyed the pool area (with swim-up bar) and the adjacent thermal springs later in the day after hiking. Highly recommend!
We didn’t know what to expect, as most hotels and resorts near La Fortuna are not typical hotel brands. After landing at LIB and renting a car, we drove straight to Arenal Manoa in the rain. Check-in was great, and the staff were very friendly.
The landscape was breathtaking—lush and tropical without feeling overdone. It actually made us reminiscent of our family homeland of Kerala, India which was an unexpected bonus.
The room was basic and slightly outdated, but it was large enough for our family. The bathroom was bigger than expected and included a clothesline in the shower area for hanging wet clothes. A special shoutout to the housekeeping staff - they cleaned the room very well and we came back to lots of friendly towel friends.
Our room was conveniently located near the main pool area, which included a nice swim-up bar. Another shoutout to the pool staff and bartenders, who were attentive and made excellent drinks (though be prepared to pay for them).
The breakfast buffet was very good. The kids especially loved the variety of yogurt cups and the fresh fruit—don’t miss out on the pineapple.
The best part of the resort was the hot springs. Unfortunately, it rained throughout our stay in Arenal, and we only saw the volcano on the day we left. As a result, we never had a hot, sunny day, which is typical during the rainy season.
Even with the rain, relaxing in the multiple hot springs was the highlight of our trip. There was something almost surreal about sitting in the hot springs while it poured around us.
One suggestion would be to add more lighting around the pool area, as it gets very dark and slippery in the evening.
We arrived with low expectations, and the resort far exceeded them. Having stayed at both the JW and this resort during our trip, the JW staff should learn a thing or two about customer service from Arenal Manoa. Job well done!
Excellent attention and service overall. The location is close to all the action. The resort is pristine and beautiful. Only a few things bothered us. One: the spa facilities need upgraded. The area for the massages are perfect next to the river, but the bathroom is whatever and should include a sauna or other areas to relax. Two: The tile used in the rooms is very basic and kind of ugly. It would not take much to upgrade the rooms to give them a fresh look. Rooms are very peaceful and quiet. Transportation is on point. Three: the hot springs are all way to hot to enjoy except for one. The one spring is always crowded due to it being comfortable. The food is exceptional in all restaurants. Everyone is respectful and polite. I would stay again.
We fell in love with this resort. The amenities that are available are amazing. There are numerous hot spring pools laid out throughout. There's also an "Adult only" area. The hot spring pools were of a good temperature. The ambiance around those pools was very nice. There's also a swim up bar at the full sized pool.
The rooms were very spacy and had all the comforts we desire when we're traveling. The view of the back patio area was amazing! Various bird species were observed regularly! As a bird lover, I was in heaven!
Finally, the staff was amazing! They were friendly and attentive to our needs. They made you feel welcomed and part of their family. I would return in a heartbeat!
This property provided far more than what was required for an excellent stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, the grounds were extremely well maintained, and the pool and hot springs were fantastic. The included breakfast buffet was the best meal(s) of our trip. The omelet station, fruit, baked goods, changing hot items and multitudes more ensured everyone was properly fueled for the days adventures!
The spa was beautiful. The pricing was inline with standard US pricing, but the breeze and sounds of the river literally just outside the window made it feel like a truly luxurious service.
The staff were also extremely helpful. We traveled into La Fortuna every night for dinner and the front desk made sure we had amble contact information to be back in touch so they could arrange all taxi transfers. This was one less thing to worry about
Great location- close to places like Hanging bridges and Arenal National Parkin one direction and the town and waterfall in the other direction.
Beautiful grounds, saw variety of animals there. Love the thermal pools they had as well.
So much wildlife right on the resort! Great pool, loved the hot springs which were unique to this property and the views of the volcano were unmatched! Wish they had a gym and more options for food, but loved the rooms as individual mini-buildings.
Las aguas termales del hotel
Las habitaciones no están insonorizadas y al tener vecinos muy ruidosos se escuchaba todo
