The air conditioning wouldn't work. the Tele didn't come on. Black mould all around the bath cracked tiles on the bathroom floor .. I wasn't even told the sensory room was closed until we went tovgo last minute my child with autism was upset ! Pool was lovely just the room could have been better
Clean comfortable room, staff very pleasant
Arrived after 6pm, children couldn’t use pool, advised to book for the following morning so did for 10.15am only to be told that a group had booked out the pool for a few hours therefore swimming pool was not available for us hotel guests and our children to use, mentioned it to duty manager who said he would look into it and get back to us, he didn’t. The only reason I chose this hotel was because they had a pool
Room was very clean and spacious
The breakfast was extremely expensive @€18.50 per adult and €12.50 per child !!
Fine big room for all five of us. Very comfortable beds and good location
Very noisy early in the night but quietened down after 11.30
Comfy beds, location was easy for the port.close to shops.
The room 201 - was immaculate all new bathroom and facilities
There’s 2 tvs in the room and the remote controls both so the 2nd tv turns on randomly on its own and you can turn it off
Nothing staff very rude food disgusting and cold place over crowded kid throwing football from one floor to the bottom floor nearly hitting us multiple times staff done nothing and where actually rude to us when we asked child tbey stop it or ask them to move else where, carpets on room and funtion room we booked out was ripped in lots of place party goers keep tripping and hurting them self’s
How close it was to all amenities was really handy lots of shops and food places close by.
Lamp was broke, tiles were broke in the bathroom, we had a family of 5 and asked for toilet roll and got 1 roll, balcony door didn’t open, bed sheets weren’t changed for the 2 day stay, towels weren’t change for the 2 day stay, some plug sockets were broke, beds had missing wheels so were tilted, shower was not working properly at all. Wasn’t very child friendly in the family deluxe room either all the beds looked like they were just stuffed in there. Definitely not a 4 star hotel at most it is 2 stars. We went to emerald park and this was the closest option that we thought was a little bit luxurious but we were wrong. Swimming was brilliant and staff were very friendly and helpful also the shower didn’t have an anti slip mat and we had 3 young boys with us which my youngest fell a couple of times.
Breakfast was nice, room was nice and big to fit us all in. Everything was clean. Staff were friendly.
Main restaurant was unavailable due to a weight lifting convention happening. No prior notice. Bar menu was very limited.
Games room was not open for the kids.
The door out
Receptionist was so rude, hotel had changed there policy to card only two weeks before our stay that we had booked a month before hand wouldn’t take cash we travelled from Wexford to have a night away and when we were arrived were basically told ‘I’m not taken that cash and nothing I can do’ and left stranded with nowhere to stay and my one year old child. AVOID
Location
Noise
Too many outside activities
Staff unwilling/unable to assist
‘Impossible to make a chicken salad sandwich’.. incredible
Breakfast was utterly chaotic, no glasses, no cups, bacon inedible, eggs gone
The location of the hotel for our stay was perfect. It was only a few minutes drive to Emerald Park. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and were happy to go above and beyond for any request.
I felt the room or suite as it was called at check-in was dated and slightly worn down. An update is needed in my opinion. There was food under one of the beds also which was slightly disappointing which then casted a doubt over room cleanliness.
Breakfast was not included
Staff on reception were not friendly or helpful. I had an elderly person with me and they delayed us as long as possible
Everything. Not our first time there. Will definitely be back.
NA
Location to emerald park
Not kid friendly. Priority given to adults for leisure centre use. (10.15am-7.15pm) and must access pool by 6.30pm. There were no towels available at leisure centre when we were entering pool. Which delayed our entrance to pool, thus less time there. Kicked out on the nose 7.15pm!
We were going to emerald park next day, so couldn’t use leisure facilities in the morning as I’d hoped, due to the hotel’s morning time restrictions.
Cost of a breakfast there is also extortionate for kids, especially when kids are under 8!
Travelled with autistic child, hoping to use sensory room advertised by hotel. However, when we arrived at reception, was advised that it was closed for renovations or sth to that effect.
Not value for money.
