We booked this hotel for it’s advertised as family friendly, but was a total let down , the kids club was completely unavailable and play area was closed for renovations
Children were bored with no entertainment,
I did complain to manager I found her dismissive, shifting the blame on to me , I should have checked or called ahead to see if facilities were open , it’s the summer I went in July of course it should have been on its summer holidays for kids .
Manager showed zero empathy for disappointed guest.
Save your money go elsewhere
Location was good and value was good but hotel looks dated. Had to change room on arrival as room allocated was very small and dark. They gave me a new room but instructions to find it was poor and no signs to indicate where the new building was.
It was nice to see the hotel kept the charming character of time beautifully. Our room and bathroom was well presented.
Sadly, there was no air conditioner in our room or in the windows. There was a fan to plug in, but too far away from the bed to cool us from the heat during the night.
€30 breakfast for 2 was pretty steep for an egg, toast and coffee.

This is always my go to hotel when staying in Waterford, great value, great amenities, can’t fault the bar and restaurant and it’s so central. Free parking too is a great bonus. Can’t recommend enough.
I booked a twin room but was pleasantly surprised when it was upgraded to a junior suite!
Hotel was v noisy window’s let in street noise and then the guests on the same floor as me were banging doors screaming and shouting and playing music all night unchecked by any hotel staff. The breakfast was v poor also. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Hotel and staff was fantastic, location was just perfect and in walking distance of all the amazing things to see in Waterford city
