No hot water !! Just really badly run and maintained

We had NO hot water !!! 2 out of the 4 lightbulbs in the room were blown or not working. In house Phone system was not working or we were deliberately being ignored or hung up on No staff on premisses after hours . We told them about the hot water in the morning and were told it would be taken care of got back at the end of the day. About 5.40 still no hot water started calling the reception phone would ring connect then drop out tried for 10 mins then decided to got to reception before it close to see it closed early and saw the girl trying to escape she ended up calling the manager and we were finally moved to another room where we were finally able to have a hot shower however the water still only lasted 5 mins before it started to go cold again. Also though stated that the restaurant was open wed - sun it was not open on the Friday night we arrived. in the morning were told that it was because “the”chef had a family emergency, having been a chef for many years early in my life no kitchen should ever rely on one individual to run this is just totally un- professional the second night it was open but the menu was very limited we sat down looked at the menu then went elsewhere.
We had stayed here in 2014 and had a great experience it has really taken a nose dive since then. I would never go back !!!

Pros:

The location and views were gorgeous, there is a private verandah to have a coffee and enjoy the views (although the seats were rusty so we sat on the stone instead).
Staff were all very friendly
Nice gardens
Restaurant and bar looked well maintained
Easy parking

Cons:

The place has a lot of potential given the serenity, views and area, just needs a renovation to the accomodation side.
- The wifi didn’t work
- Couldn’t change channels on old tv
- Stains on arm chairs
- fly screen was ripped so bugs came in
- bar fridge needs upgrade
If it gets renovated we wouldn’t hesitate to return for another weekend away. The location and views are perfect.

The website needs to be updated to reflect a truthful picture of the property - it's not 4 stars

Location is great, when the Mill restaurant is open it's also a lovely feed but when we checked in on Friday night it wasn't open despite it being opening hours. Walking over to Four Pines is easy enough
Quiet rooms, you'll see kangaroos at dusk

Cons:

Wifi doesn't work (old information on in-room brochure). In room information also states 'enjoy your complementary welcome drinks and nibbles' but there's nothing lol. The rooms as other reviews state are super duper out-dated, and the bathroom in particular wasn't very clean (faint whiffs of urine). I also specifically chose the Olive Grove room because I didn't want the ones facing the vines (the road), and the pictures showed nicer rooms, but ours wasn't like that at all, not even the pretty bedspreads or nice terracotta coloured walls shown. Don't expect any kind of tuscan 'vibes' in the rooms
