Overall, most things were good.

The suite room was spacious and nice.

Cons:

“There was a strange smell in the first room we were given, but the staff changed our room right away, which we appreciated. One thing that was a bit disappointing was that there was also a slight odor in the elevators and hallways. I’m not sure if it was just a local smell specific to the destination, but in many luxury hotels, the elevators and lobby usually have a pleasant scent. Since Sofitel is such a nice hotel, that part was a little disappointing.”

Lovely staycation getaway
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. Staff helpful as I forgot toothbrush and hairbrush so they brought those up for me.
They gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary.
Location is perfect to pop out for a nice waterfront walk and access to the excellent hospitality options of the area
